  5. Unfortunately it's what the customer wants Jesse. He wants the instant garden and a cheap job, otherwise he gets someone else in an d I lose the work. Compost is for the of 50/50 soil mix. Your right about trying to find a tree by a visual inspection first.
  6. Great stuff. Thanks for all your advice.
  7. Hi guys I have to price for getting and planting 4 silver birch. I know I will need a couple of bags of compost and 4 small stakes and binders. The trees are about 6 ft. How much do you recon I should charge to plant them as it will be in the next town, 5 miles away. Trees are about £20 on the net. Thanks for your time H

  10. Crikey. If you lived in northants that % would come down a bit. There is always someone who will do the job cheaper than you.

  12. I have a job coming up on a day rate for the local farmer. It compromises of cutting back thorn hedge which has grown through wire stock fencing. At least 2 ft behind the fence. I thought about walking down the inside with a chainsaw036 and pulling away cut stuff. Major thorns on the hands tho. Any better ideas would be welcome. H
  13. Well I fitted the pipe today. Cost £40. But the cat is not going to get stolen again because it doesnt have one. Shame I have to bodge the truck for the thieves tho. Thanks for all the replies H
  14. Thanks guys. I have ordered a bit of bendy pipe to put between the two sections and will prob put new exhaust on for mot, then take it back off after. Might fail on emissions otherwise. I have toyed with the idea of a sump guard bit a length of steel down the exhaust sounds like an easier option. Typically mine was the only one to go in my village but they seemed to have had a good night as when I phone tyre and exhaust place in next town they said they have had 5 phone calls from the next village wanting new cats and exhaust. H
  15. £50-100
  16. Thanks bud.
  17. Had my catalytic converter stolen off my l200 last night! It was parked outside on the roadside next to my house. My bedroom window was open and none of us heard anything, including the dog. It was cut using a pipe cutter. Swine! The police were more than helpful NOT. just when you start to earn some money again, this happens. If I'd have caught them......
