  3. I find drinking a pint of aspen really sets me up for the day and actually most of the week:)
  4. Thanks Alycidon. See you soon.
  5. I did 40-41 a few years back with the AA techies. Learnt loads about a subject which I thought I knew a lot about. Don't know how it works with insurance, if you need it or not
  6. I have a stovax-Brunel. It has air vents in the door and underneath nr the ash pan. Which one should be open to burn wood? I have always used the lower one and kept the top one shut
  7. And to top it all off the goverment wants to screw the self employed for just about everything. Read the stress thread for advice
  8. Wise words, thanks.
  9. If you fit a winch, do you have to tell your insurance company as it is a modification.
  10. Well I have just used my first 5l of aspen. Only in my hedge trimmers, one did not need adjusting and the other 4-mix I could not get running sweetly, it was running all over the shop. I was very impressed with the fuel and now I need some more! I found the price of the fuel could be split between jobs and I felt a lot healthier up in the conifers. I can't justify buying a huge container load but perhaps 15-20l. I am based nr Daventry northants. Can I get that thru the post?
  11. Thanks
  12. Tree and hedge work. Buy the kit and you will have more work. As said, stabilising ladder and climb inside the hedge. Bring it down to a more manageable height.
  13. Shat my self this week. I was hedge trimming near unisulated wires, safe distance away. Lorry came through the village and ripped wires from across the road and power lines came down next to me. Lorry just carried on. :0
  14. Slight derail. Thanks HB for quick return of new petzl pantin for my faulty one.
  15. Probably better off just buying 1 or 2 loads seasoned and split. You will get plenty of offers then.
  16. Thank you for the offer.
  17. DONT MAKE ME ANGRY. YOU WON'T LIKE IT IF I GET ANGRY. (the hulk)
  18. Does sound a bit cheap to me also
  19. I lost it once and punched something (my truck). Fractured 2 fingers and lost 2 knuckles. IDIOT. its all about deep breathing.
  20. Cheers silky. I was just a bit worried cuz the springs don't match, if you know what I mean.
  21. I brought a right footer from the apf but when I looked at it on closer inspection I found this: Where the spring fingers rest against the body, only one does; are they both meant to?
