  1. when we were working near coventry, we found some ordnance buried in a tree and bomb squad came out and took it away.
  2. great bit of splicing, i have never been shown how to splice properly, so i still struggle on 3 strand. splice dyslexia.
  3. why are you wearing a railway hi vis up in a tree canopy. are you worried about thomas the tank engine up there? nice pics.
  4. what can i say? least it wasnt my job.
  5. each tree took about 1.5 -2 hrs. i think. it was a while ago. The mewp was a life saver for accessing the trees, it saved a lot of blood sweat and tears, oh and a lot of swearing. it was about another 30ft climb when getting out. i like a good debate.
  6. hired that in for the job. we had about 5 wellies to do plus some other stuff. .It is a good mewp until your up in the air at full reach, it beeps at you then the controls pack up. gulp. The tree you see has a large split running down it with a bees nest in. Pity cuz its the best tree out of the bunch. May need topping. uh oh.
  7. just thought i'd put this on as it is my 1st go. Climbers would go up in mewp and climb the restof the way, while a groundsman would lower mewp and move it.
  8. foo fighters live are the mutts nuts
  9. could you have ratchet strapped the trunk and then felled it into the field?
  10. tried it and now use it. i use both ends of my rope each with a micro pulley on and a blakes. works a treat.
