Personally I would prefer £150 conifer job for the morning with hardly any outlay, then go to another job in the afternoon reducing/thinning etc for £200. Miles of thorn does not sound great to me. I think the fencers deserve good money. As for the fencing. I think we are too much in a nanny state. When I was a kid I knew the railway was dangerous. It should still apply now to the young uns.

Qts are doing a lot of clearing round my way at the minute. (Daventry) They seem to be going ahead of the fencing boys clearing for them before the metal fencing goes up. I feel sorry for both gangs. Mind numbing job. What a waste of time and money that fence is.
