  1. Sod the number of accidents and air quality, building more, bigger roads makes us lots of money! A bit like building new housing estates on green field sites, on flood plains, beside rivers. That's the thoughts of those who make the decisions on these things.
  2. I'm a robotic simulation engineer, used to do tree surgery as well until quite recently. Guess what question I get asked most at BBQs? ---- Can you program a robot to cut this tree down?.
  3. Ummm, Eau de Dog Shit, the pinnacle of sophistication. What every aspiring Player should wear.
  4. A lot of that massive pine forest to the south got burned down by wildfires last year I think.
  5. I can vouch for L&S Engineers. The owner is a really nice guy too, I used to work for him.
  6. Think you're still missing the point, but no worries if you want to focus on toilets and dumping! Which kind of brings us back full circle funnily enough;- there's already too many dumps in our rivers, and that's now set to get even worse with this piece of news that started this topic. Good work.
  7. I was more concerned about the scrapping of environmental protections rather than the building of more homes. But anyway...... Housing problem solutions, in no particular order;- Contraception Less ensuite toilets More brownfield development Less cars More barges Less games rooms/home cinemas/garages More terraced housing Less retail parks More flights to the other side of the world Less lobbying and donations by housing developers More bikes and cycling Less building on floodplains More honest politicians Less car washing More multigenerational house occupancy, (like those multiculturalists do) Less showering More flats for single occupancy Less paved over front gardens
  8. Ministers propose scrapping pollution rules to build more homes WWW.BBC.CO.UK The government says removing EU-era pollution restrictions on developments could "unblock" 100,000 new homes. Nice. This'll sort the sewage problem.
  9. Well, my money would be on Triggered. But it's only a guess. We may never know for sure.
  10. Fair play to him then. He's got an uncanny knack of emulating the style and sentiments of another notorious user.
  11. Yes, very decent when you consider the considerable perks. I'd've been happy with that a few years back.
  12. I grow that in our garden ....... as a nice flower. I I can eat it as well then so much the better! Which bits does Mrs Lee use?
  13. Lucy Letby: NHS managers must be held to account, whistleblower doctor says WWW.BBC.CO.UK The lead consultant where Lucy Letby worked tells BBC there is "no apparent accountability" for hospital managers. He's got a point.
  14. Not familiar with crabs, do they struggle to distinguish between they're, their and there?
  15. The Mong isn't bothering me to be honest, more entertaining than annoying at this stage. I do think though that in the interests of transparency and fairness his "real" name should be published for all to see, if it is another user.
  16. Mushrooms, Toadstools? Definitely Fungi.
  17. I think it was something to do with the babies' parents. She seems to have had a weird, unhealthy fascination with them; social media stalking and faux sympathy cards and stuff.
  18. I'm a big fan of dead pig, in all its forms. It has to be the most versatile and most utilised of meat producing animals. As the old saying goes; "you can eat everything but the squeak"
  19. I think they are already going after the management, as they should. It sounds like there were some serious fckups there, compounding the hideous crimes she was committing. As in other nasty cases like this, I feel for the poor buggers who had to sit on the jury. I had to do it once, but thankfully it was a straightforward case of one scally youth attacking another scally youth.
  20. Not hiding behind anything Nd, I just can't be bothered trying to have a calm, reasoned discussion with you, it's not possible. Besides, there's nowt wrong with a bit of humour to lighten the mood sometimes. Lockdowns, (and other associated mitigation measures), were a necessary evil. Hugely damaging obviously, but necessary in the circumstances nonetheless. I'm pretty sure that I'm not alone in that viewpoint, but if I am then so be it. Incidentally, had we had an honest and competent government at the time then some of the negative consequences could have been significantly lessened. Also, there were some positive aspects that you tend to overlook. At the end of the day it's in the past, you can't change anything. Doesn't matter how much you rant and whine about it on here. There's a host of far more important issues that urgently need addressing. This topic wastes far too much bandwidth.
  21. The pork puffs are ok, but not really on a par with the good old full fat pork scratchings. Though I do flinch a bit when they still have the hair on sometimes!
  22. It could be argued that in the long-term, Social Media and Junk Food are far more damaging to children's mental and physical health. Discuss. I think France at least is making progress on both fronts.
