  1. Tell you what, I'm enjoying this Milk Stout. It's like drinking chocolate velvet, with a big bitter hit on the finish to even things out.
  2. I'd go for something like Laurel, harder wearing. Or Holly, you'll stick in people's minds then.
  3. What's this then? I assume Fungi as Lichen would take years to accrue that much coverage. The Mrs thought it was paint at first. Until I point out that we were in the middle of a wood, and why would someone bother?
  4. No surprise in that story. Sleazebag is being generous, criminal would be more apt. He makes Starmer seem like a saint. The real surprise is that a few people still defend him so doggedly.
  5. Not even a lettuce would seek advice from that silly woman.
  6. Exactly my sentiments. I'm not happy if it takes more than 5 minutes. When I gets to 10 I'm feeling decidedly tense and restless. Completely in the hands of Lady Luck though.
  7. Looks sound to me. Attractive and concise, all you need from a business card. I too used Vistaprint for mine. Many years ago now but I was happy with them.
  8. A personal best today. Not in terms of lines but time taken. Under a minute I reckon. Maybe I could've taken a less hurried approach and got a 3er. I know I fcked up the second line somewhat. Wordle 1,177 4/6 🟨⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟨🟨⬜ 🟩🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  9. No, not a joke, they're meant to be funny. The operative word here is global.
  10. I've driven down the road from Imbros to Hóra Sfakíon a couple of times, for the ferry. Talk about scenic. I feel your post holiday blues pain! Even worse coming back to this autumn drizzle in the Midlands.

  12. I treated myself to a visit to a fancy beer shop this afternoon. The place has a vast array of unknown, (to me), beers. There are hundreds and hundreds of different ones. I'm all for craft beers, independent breweries, real ales, continental lagers etc, but it's a bit much really. I just randomly chose these, after he'd given me a couple of Milk Stouts, which is what I went in for. I found it quite daunting to be honest, being faced with such a choice of unknowns. Anyway, the couple I've had so far went down well. Especially the Peanut Butter Milk Stout, contrary to how it might sound.
  13. Crap sweet corn. Good greens.

  15. No not yet. In a month or so I reckon. We agreed the Autumn, once the leaves have come down at least.
  16. Lee Anderson’s rant about migrants being taught English in France was a magnificently satisfying self-own WWW.THEPOKE.COM Lee Anderson, chief whip of Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party (total number of MPs – four) has been ranting about France not...

    Jokes???

    Very good!
  20. Good work. Made me realise I was a bit lame! My normal starter is AUDIO. After that I went with a random guess, (obviously completely forgotten now), rather than a careful considered one. Lucky really that whatever it was had an S, T and R in it, otherwise I could of been on a sixer.

  22. Talking of women's rights; old Musky boy is off again. Musk suggests support for replacing democracy with government of ‘high-status males’ WWW.INDEPENDENT.CO.UK The theory suggests that the only people able to think freely are ‘high [testostrone] alpha males’ and ‘aneurotypical people’ Got any high alpha males or aneurotypical people on here?
  23. The irony.
