  1. What you going to do with them all if you get that kind of quantity? Surely you can't eat that many in one sitting.
  2. But children can't catch Foot and Mouth! 😜
  3. That's why they're only meant to be used on a complete tree removal.
  4. To the tree I guess you mean?
  5. Caraway seeds are also good.
  6. Good knowledge. I like the discolouration actually, it adds to the visual appeal.
  7. Oh yeah, flatbreads. Forgot about them, they're good. We had a spate of doing lots of them a couple years back.
  8. Lovely. Interesting grey staining. I'd've guessed at early fungal decay, but you said the wood was green to start with. ?
  9. Here's a quick and easy meal. Savoury pancakes. Mackerel and Worcester Sauce in this case, but cheese and onion/ham/mushroom, sliced beef and horseradish, peanut butter. Lots of options.
  10. That came to my mind as well, didn't suggest it though as I didn't think anyone else would've heard of it. Palinka is lovely stuff, got a few pleasant memories of drinking it out in the sticks in Transylvania. A girl friend's uncle used to make it. He just seemed to chuck a load of plums in a big barrel, leave them to ferment/gently rot for a few weeks and then take it down the road to the guy with the village Still. Best served with chunks of salted pig fat!
  11. A very nice problem to have. I'd just make bugger loads of jam and stewed plums. Both keep for years if done properly. Plus a bit of wine on the side. I've not done the latter but it can't be that different from most other wines. I'm sure C.J.J. Berry will have a recipe.
  12. It should be easy for us tree types! Guessing that a lot of the general population would struggle though, which I don't think is good. Time for the next level.. .
  13. I hope everyone gets a solid 100%! Quiz: Learn to identify a tree by its leaves - Summer of Adventure WWW.BBC.CO.UK Help your child learn all about the trees they might find in the UK and the wildlife that calls them home. An activity for parents...
  14. Cheers mate. I was trying to do it without the space but it just keep hanging without completing so I gave up in the end.
  15. The little ones with the pointy tops.
  16. Hello @Madmax. Could you satisfy our curiosity please by confirming what you are?
  17. Reminds me of a story I heard years ago about some guy applying handfuls of nettles to his member, to make it bigger I think. The mind boggles. An urban myth probably, hopefully.
  18. Good to see the knife being used. Chimes with my thinking on introducing them, and other tools, as early as possible. (within reason obvs - no chainsaws until double figures!) Is that one of those Opinels with the rounded tip? My four year old lad keeps on about wanting an axe for Christmas, I'll hold off for a couple years though and give him a knife first.
