  2. Anyone for hi-viz stretch airs? Thank you very much FR Jones and sons.
  3. WTF was Simon wearing? Haha.
  4. I bought a raffle ticket at the confor and arbtalk stand. Was like being at the fair. Want the Nissan cabstar platform sooooo bad.
  5. Is Justin giving away free beers??? thats what we really need to know. haha
  6. I AM the boss, duffhead. Wish I had gone today as the weather up here was terrible, cancelled job and awaited emergency call out which never materialised.
  7. Yeah I'm going Saturday aswell. It's when the cool people go. Let the rabble get out the way first I say.
  8. Haven't got there yet.
  9. My veg patch is in the first isle at asda.
  10. What if you did that but the customers son decided he was not happy at having to dig through some fibrous roots to plant a new shrub even though the actual customer was delighted and paid up on the spot??
  11. Really would only be a "bit" more for a far better rope aswell.
  12. That's what this forum is about mate.
  13. Also, showing on your Arbtalk profile where you are from or based would be a good way of letting people know you are there and willing.
  14. Doing what your doing is fine. Applying to local tree firms. Having even the basic chainsaw course behind will stand you in better stead for getting a call back. Supplying your own PPE ( personal protective equipment) is even better. This will include chainsaw protective boots, trousers and gloves. You will also need a helmet with ear defenders and a visor. All this stuff isn't cheap. However in your current position, I would advise buying the very cheapest available, as you might find you can't get any work ( recession) or may find you hate it. Constantly harrasing companies and offering free labour for days in return for experience and some basic knowledge would be a great way to get our foot in the door, so to speak. Good luck.
  15. I think you should definately grind every single root. Without a doubt. Haha.
  16. Productivity is the key. How much can you process in a day with your axe???
  17. I might just happen to know where there is ALOT of oak, possibly going to be extracted. Might let someone know in the near future.
  18. Haha, Tony, you know too many long weird words.
  19. I know. Mick is ace. If i lived down there i would be knocking on his door for work.
  20. Can be very satisfying mate!!
  21. Nice one, any more and it wouldve looked like a Mug rack. haha
  22. That's not a "numpty" question. It's a genuine interest and shows enthusiasm. If you didn't ask it, someone else would. So..... What was the job spec. The outcome looks spot on mate.
  23. Pictures would help a quicker sale mate.
  24. Knew it. If you hadnt been there, he wouldnt have even got his harness out. haha
  25. There appears to be a dead guy on the patio???
