  1. Never thought of that mate. Can you elaborate on techniques for this? Maybe some sort of Dadio-esque YouTube video?
  2. Many thanks for the constructive advise as usual chaps. Haha Is it also true that fairy dust works wonders?
  3. Here's one for you. Has anyone got any success stories about getting hi-viz clothing clean. Or, after first use in the rain with greasy tree type muck are they destined for the grebby scruffy look straight away. Main reason for asking is I have some stretch air hi-viz yellow trousers and only worn them once in a wet woodland, put them straight in the wash and they have cone out about the same as they went in. Followed care instructions and used top name brand detergent. At £255 per pair I wouldve thought they may have come clean after first wear. I will just admit that I was advised (obviously wisely) by Dean Lofthouse that hi-viz gear looks quite scruffy, quite quickly. Anyway. Any ideas?
  4. Cheers for that mate. I personally feel you made an excellent decision. The truck looks really good.Highly professional. Im jealous.
  5. Nail on the head Stephen Blair. What a well thought out way of getting a solution.
  6. Would it be rude of me to ask for an approximate costing of that? Looks Very Smart.
  7. I think I've always been an adventurer and explored at heart. Im not sure I have the time or desire to really study and learn loads at the moment but am enjoying the thought of finding something rare and natural that most people will never see / have never seen and also would just trample across completley oblivious to the wonders of mother nature. I'm already planning getting back in that wood tommorrow to refind the rare blue mushroom.
  8. Why am I thoroughly enjoying searching for fungi? The (green?) one was actually more like a bright blue? Can you give me any tips on how to dry out? And an address at kew to send it to? Many thanks. I'm addicted. Wish my iPhone would zoom closer and really emphasise the colours.
  9. Can anyone ident these. My colleague today suggested mixing them up in some tea???
  10. Found this little beast today in an ash and oak woodland.

    Socks

I never realised there was so much in socks. Is it not just material for your feet?
  12. So it is just because you CAN.
  13. Knew it would be something along those lines. You crazy layer back tree cutter.
  14. Is it because you CAN?
  15. Depends on the job. Might charge more for hedge cutting than tree felling. Depends on what kit is needed. If I had to hire a platform in for a monster hedge trimming job it might work out more than a days clear felling with 2 guys in a wood with just a saw each.
  16. Ok. You got the customer to txt you a photo of the job to your iPhone. You txt back saying £1500. They rang and said yes. You dropped everything? Haha. I don't know.
  17. Why's that?
  18. That tells me that you were planning on having the day off work to split logs up at yard, told the customer that you would come at short notice as you always like try and keep everyone happy. How did I do?
  19. For small domestic hedge cutting jobs I always advise that they will probably get it done far cheaper by a local odd job gardener. I only offer the service as I have the means of doing it. Only hedge jobs I have are pretty much full day jobs that would take a gardener 3 days.
  20. Exactly. Does this prove a reason for trying to steer clear of hedge cutting jobs etc. Competing against someone who will turn up in a peugeot 106 with 6x4 trailer and ask where they can plug the hedge trimmer in.
  21. Thats what I mean. Thats a bloomin good discount. More pressies for Christmas.
  22. Fact is though, he got his job done for £60. good bit of business I think haha
  23. Yeah.......................................???
