  1. Why couldn’t you fell the whole tree?
  2. I don’t think anyone is interested in their nationality - more their possible rent-boy association with our glorious leader. Hopefully that is clear enough for you?
  3. I’d stick a 30 inch bar on the 500 before contemplating dragging an 881 up a tree, they are a massively cumbersome lump.
  4. They’ll get at least 4 years I reckon - this has been a massive case and they are taking about televising the sentencing hearing. Whatever they get will go to appeal no doubt, and everyone will have forgotten all about it next year. Personally I think they deserve jail time, but there is no way in the world that this is worse than kiddy fiddling or killing someone (though I suspect they will receive harsher sentences than others who have got off far more leniently for worse).
  5. Surely one of the LBGTQSXFNWK+ letters stands for kiddy-fiddler, that rainbow is supposedly all-inclusive I thought? Perfect smoke for that job…
  6. In fairness to the construction firms, I don’t think they purposely keep it quiet, it’s just a standard part of how they operate now (along with zero rated vat etc). They aren’t saving any money withholding the dosh, they pay it directly to HMRC so the cost of your invoice is exactly the same to them.
  7. Technically it’s not a harvesting operation if being undertaken to facilitate development under planning permission - similarly you have to use white diesel in machinery etc as it falls under construction.
  8. You can opt out but need to register with HMRC and provide proof to your customer when submitting your invoice.
  9. Yes - and that trailer can now no-longer legally carry the weight it was originally designed to.
  10. I think there was some confusion surrounding it around the time the trailer test was brought in - I have an old livestock trailer that a previous owner had downplated (by Ifor williams themselves apparently, going by the id plate). It was later clarified that it is the actual weight that matters, not the plated weight.
  11. The Ifor Williams website has info on this - no need to downplate your trailer. My vehicle has a maximum towing weight of 1500kg and my trailer has a maximum gross weight of 2000kg. Can I still tow this trailer? » My vehicle has a maximum towing weight of 1500kg and my trailer has a maximum gross weight of 2000kg. Can I still tow this trailer? » Ifor Williams Trailers Ltd - Britain's Leading Trailer Manufacturer WWW.IWT.CO.UK Questions and answers on towing trailers and related laws for trailers up to 3500kg.
  12. I’ve noticed loads of bug-splats on my windscreen over the last week - must be a good thing?
  13. You can also carry cars, Land Rovers, plant etc on the 12 foot. If I could only have 1 trailer it would be a 12 foot Ifor tipper - they are the most adaptable bit of kit on the market IME.
  14. On the flipside if that ‘small’ bit of easily replaceable woodland prevents the development of an otherwise suitable area of land for necessary housing/employment etc then pragmatism has to come into play, and the decision will lie at the feet of some/several people (who will upset parties on one side or the other either way).
  15. Critiquing someone wearing a different coloured suit at the funeral of the head of the kiddy-fiddler cult?! Really! 😂😂😂
  16. Go on then - stick some comedy Mohammed memes up on here Bertie Big Bollocks! (I have no Christian leanings by the way and see all religion through the same eyes).
  17. Many thanks for this reply (which I totally missed until now, sorry!). The site is not in Devon by the way!
  18. It sold a few months ago - the ad stayed up on marketplace for ages as Facebook wouldn’t let me mark it as sold from my phone for some reason 🤷‍♂️
  19. I didn’t realise he’d sold out. Always seemed an odd (and greedy) business model to me, stack-em-high-and-sell-em-cheap, essentially devaluing any brands they were flogging, whilst simultaneously pissing off small local retailers nationwide. They were a terrible outfit at the end - I wasn’t aware of any point where they changed ownership or MO though.
  20. Will he also be advising you about advertising and selling stuff you don’t actually have? 😂
  21. They fit on a 12 foot Ifor tipper perfectly - possibly smaller too but I have no experience of others. As an aside, the 12 foot Ifor tipper is the trailer I would definitely keep if I could only have one - it is the most versatile bit of kit out there! It’ll carry 8 cube of chip (with the high sides) and can also carry a 110 Land Rover (when stripped to a flatbed).
  22. If that’s the case then it is a genius move by @Johnsond - I’d happily take as much money as possible from any bullshido net-zero funded nonsense.
  23. Can’t their judgements subsequently be overturned by the ECHR though?
