  1. Your dad needs to claim off his house insurance. Whethervthey then decide to chase the tree’s owner for recompense or not is down to the insurer.
  2. https://wordsandmusicfestival.com/acts/ocean-colour-scene/
  3. They are playing an acoustic gig in my little local town (Nantwich) in October - really looking forward to it!
  4. Absolutely ridiculous. It’s a massive setback for female equality imo - men are better at being women than women are now apparently!!!
  5. I did do the same with my old Ranger/Mazda on the way to the APF many moons ago - had to remove the prop shaft in the motorway services en route as it started shaking like a shitting dog!
  6. Sorbus are the best arb suppliers out there. This is a fact.
  7. Always fix to the purlins through the troughs on box profile as it’s the only way to secure the sheets securely - the sheets can flex and lift slightly in the wind if fixed through the ridges.
  8. Jakeintexas - put some pics up of Texas stuff at least and make us jealous! We know nothing about your ants but would gratefully see pics of your part of the world. Cowboys/guns/oil fields/massive machinery/wide open spaces/belt buckles/Cadillacs etc etc. Make us jealous boyo!
  9. I’d do both personally.
  10. Lay off the aggression boyo, I’m sure you are (rightly) upset about your chipper being pinched (a situation I have been in myself on a couple of occasions). My ‘sad’ emoji was meant to show some camaraderie to you in your crappy situation, nothing more, and I’m not sure how you could take it any other way really?
  11. I thought GNR were mega! Proper rockers who’ve lived the life still smashing it - Slash was another level and Axl (as weird looking as he is now) has still got the shrieking snarl and the delivery! Who gives a shit if he’s not pitch-perfect on some of it - those songs wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for him and I’d rather see him delivering them than not.
  12. This is an 8.5 tonne Tajfun and it is a brilliant winch - fast and powerful. We usually run it on this little 90hp Same as it can get just about anywhere but you wouldn’t want to work it hard on anything smaller as the torque makes the tractor lift a wheel when really pulling - you’d soon flip a little tractor.
  13. I’ll give you a shout later next week boyo!
  14. Am over that way quite often, nice part of the world. Should be a decent property investment there and easy to rent out I’d imagine.
  15. I’ve just caught up with this thread - where did Samantha go? Hopefully she’s all good, seems a very caring soul. Eggs - where are you now? I know you were living fairly close to me (Nantwich) - if still in the parish and you fancy a pint give me a shout any time, I’m always looking for an excuse to escape to a nice pub and talk shit!
  16. I didn’t realise you used to work for Fountains? Good of you to keep recycling old work uniform!
  17. If you can get machinery to the job then do - avoid as much heavy lifting as possible at every opportunity. Don’t sned any more brash out than absolutely necessary until at the chipper, it makes shifting arisings easier and tidier. Always go for the fell wherever possible - this rule trumps all others in every situation!
  18. Cut everything off that is definitely on your side and eco plug what’s left - let your neighbour decide if it is subsequently worth the time, hassle and risk of losing to do anything further about it.
  19. Is there anything in your deeds about who has responsibility for that boundary?
  20. Great diving beetle - bad news if you are a tadpole!
  21. Can I borrow your dog?!…
  22. The spikes would be lethal if treading on anything timber/climbing ladders etc when folded closed though!
  23. Be closer to 15 if he has his wallet with him!
