  1. http://www.safetybootsuk.co.uk/buckler-b1150-safety-boots-p-89193.html Good boots. Pretty tough and not too expensive. Maybe not as warm as riggers but certainly comfortable. Not totally waterproof but as long as you don't go wading in them you'll be alright!!!
  2. I always found that good old fashioned beans on toast keeps you filled up till 11 ish which is normally when you can eat again!! Maybe I'm just a tubby little git!!!
  3. Did you tell them you wanted the 75 when you'd finished the job, or as soon as you realised that you'd underpriced? As long as they were sure it was an estimate that you'd given them I think that there isn't a problem!! Just a bit embarrassing!!! I can remember a job that we'd priced up without looking very closely. We put a price on removing a row of conifers opposite a hedge that we'd cut for a few years. The guy that passed the work on to my boss told him it was only a day and so my mate just stuck a day on it to help him out. Got to the job and took a couple of these trees out and realised that we'd MAJORLY underpriced. The only options were to walk away or go knock on the door and ask for more money. Cue one very embarressed boss and me walking on eggshells for the rest of the day to avoid a beasting.... I'm just glad that I didn't have to have that conversation
  4. Nice one. Cheers Micke:thumbup1:
  5. Someone posted a link to a website the other day that showed how you remove an ART ropeguide from the tree using a couple of throwbags and lower the whole thing down in a controlled fashion. I've spent the past hour looking for it and can't find it anywhere! :confused1:Can someone who knows more about computers point me in the right direction?? Or if you posted it, can you stick the link here?? Cheers Tom

  15. We worked for a woman a couple of years back that had the worst luck with every tradesman she had work for her. Sparkys and Chippies had basically done the shoddiest jobs. We couldn't work it out untill she said that she always pays everyone in full BEFORE they've even started the job!!! Back on subject, Cheque when finished always works for me!!!
