  1. Am I being think? I thought that they were the same, just one was hardback and t'other wasn't. Are they different or is it worth getting both?
  2. Ha ha!! Me too!!! Cheers for having a go!!
  3. The 'shot marking' effect was very similar. The only difference was there was a slight yellowing around the marks that isn't present on Dean's photo. The mildew was there as well.
  4. Monkeyd, Can that occur on Sweet Chestnut? I had someone show me a leaf that looked very similar not too long ago and I didn't have a clue what it was...
  5. I'm suprised that no-one has mentioned this to Steve's money saving group!!! (See Interesting Read thread) It sounds like a bargain!!!!
  6. Can you just walk into book shops and find it or do you have to order it on line? I'm going on holiday on Friday and will need something to do while my woman sits and cooks herself...
  7. No problem!! Good luck!!!
  8. oh yeah, don't forget to feed the rope through the right way round!! Or you'll feel very silly when you come to remove it!!!
  9. Here goes.... Feed the throw line through the BIG eye of the cambium saver, BEFORE you throw it around a limb. Throw the weight bag, lower it all the way to the ground and remove the weight. Pass the throwline through the small eye of the cambium saver and re-attach the weight. Pull on the running end of the throwline and the cambium saver will 'run' up the rope. Give it a good yank to pull it over the branch and the lower the weight to the ground. Remove weight and attach climbing line to throw line and pull through. Hope this makes sense!!!
  10. I'm fighting the temptation!!!! I'm now very curious!!!!

    Holiday

Where abouts in Egypt Mike? I went to Hurguda last year. It was lovely:001_cool:
  18. There were a few cases where gypos were going round in really fancy smart work clothes and sign written vans. The head gypo would knock on the door looking all smart, customer would think "oh lovely, he's proffesional" give them the job and then the roughest looking things would turn up for the grunt work. I know that it shouldn't matter, but people(customers) see things and make assumptions. Eg- Shiney new gear means that he MUST be good.....
  19. Cheers for the link Steve. I'll have to look into that.
