  1. It that the same as a lorry hitch Matt? Take a loop, twist, feed the rope though and pull it against itself? ps, Say hello to Andy!!
  2. Playstation 3 mate!!! Its about the only gadget I've got!!
  3. Ha ha ha!! Very helpful 88!!!
  4. Thats what we were told as well Jamie. It separated those that wanted to actually go out and learn that little bit more.
  5. This may sould like a stupid question, but do Chainsaw wellies actually have kevlar in them?? I was always under the impression that they were made of a kind of "re-enforced" rubber but not actually Kevlar. Am I wrong or just being a bit thick.??
  6. I'll echo that Andy!! Good luck Paul, I really hope it works.
  7. Christ, Hope the little fella gets better soon John. I had a filthy cold, blocked up and coughing every 2 mins, couldn't shake it for about 5 weeks. I just kept going in to work and hoping I'd get better. In the end, had to take three days off and do absolutley nothing. Now I run a mile if anyone coughs within 10 metres of me:scared1:
  8. PM'd you. Cheers Jonsie:001_cool:

    Good pilot

I'll hold my hands up and admit I'm wrong if I am, God knows I've been wrong before!! It's just that doesn't look right!! Came down too quick and seemed too perfect?? Does that make sense??

    Good pilot

Fake as you like!! No way on this earth is that real!!!
  17. Ok Rupe. I'll have a try. Thanks for advice!!
  18. Rupe, Will the prussik still bind up using the micro pulley with the mini prussik on the standing end?
  19. The guy I was talking to said just use a small oval mallon and micro pulley. You can run it up the rope and install the CS from the ground as normal. I just havn't got round to trying yet!! Cheers for the input guys!!
  20. A fella at college overheard us talking about another guy who'd decided that as he was going bald, a sensible and un-noticable hairstyle would be to grow a ponytail. My standard phase was "Do you know what can be found under every ponytail?----An a**hole" Our mate, Who is slightly slow would then repeat said comment but slightly f#*k it up and believe the punch line was "a pony's arse". It used to piss me off no end as he'd swear that his version "made more sense":mad1:
  21. A mate of mine actually suggested that Rupe!! I haven't got round to it yet but I'm going to try that. I generally body thrust into the tree. I have been using a VT but when I was playing with the ropeguide, the set up used was a standard prussik with a mini prussik and pulley on the static end to tend the hitch. I'd never tried it before and couldn't believe how easy it was!! Learn something every day it seems!!!
  22. Sorry!! Couldn't resist it!!!
  23. You can, but you'll have to tell the old bloke that you're sitting on he's not allowed in!!!
