  1. well CS39 is chainsaw in tree, and your not in a tree your in a mewp, so i reckon you'd be all right

  4. yeah thats true wood picker, i'm fortunate to not do many 'street tree' type trees like pollarded limes , could you not make a false anchor point ?
  5. just climb to the top, get main anchor point, and go to the bottom and start pollarding, all the way to the top, simples
  6. if your gonna make one make it to fit the stihl MS341/361, i reckon its one of the most popular saws in commercial use

  8. i'm a member of the AA as it only cost me £7 at the trade fair this year, and i have already saved that on kit due to the discount you get from it. also i find the journal an interesting read to dip in and out of.i will probably renew my membership again next year as i find the discounts benefit me so much
  9. no more useful than recording the serial numbers of your saws, when the police occasionally cease stolen goods that is the only identification they need to prove its your saw.
  10. from what i've been told, the minimum that you need is to be given some baisc training by the manufacture and to make sure that is is recorded and signed by the manufacturers member of staff and all employees that have recieved the training, as a record to prove the training happened
  11. oh gutted, i bet it was horrible having your arms shook to pieces for ages knowing it's a 2 min job with the big blower

  13. i reckon it'd be cheaper to pay a local boy to come and chip for you instead of hiring both mate, and he'll know where to tip off aswell

    yeah thats what steve ment. they are excellent saws, well worththeir money. i reckon maybe 8 months or so on a blade for the average user? but thtats a very rough guess

    dont get a bowsaw, get a silky handsaw. and for pruners go for felco
