    he will be mate, a lot of the training him and his lads have given me have gone towards this job. I made sure there was no pegs left, cus that's what you guys say to do, so i borrowed some spikes from work:001_smile:. we got on site at about 8.30 and left about 1.30 all done cleared and ringed up on the van with plenty of tea and cold drink breaks

    we felled the stem mate, no mesing about chooging that down!!! but if It'd beenfelled in one there'd of been no dragging as we could get the truck right up to it

    just a few pics i took on my new blackberry:001_tt1: of a tree i dismantled on friday, lovely weather for it. i would of felled it in one but the bloke i was working for insisted on it being dismantled this was the first decentish sized tree i have done on my own, and it all went really well

  12. no fitness test at all, and about the ten pull ups i can just do 10 lol but i can comfortably do a good long rope climb without being too worn out , but i reckon im one of about 3 people on my course out of 26 who can do more than 5 pull ups

  14. glad your enjoying your work as well tom, i think when the suns out it is just the best job there could ever be, and i still enjoy it even when its pouring with rain
  15. lol exactly i'm doing some thing that i enjoy and getting what i think is a fair wage out of it.
  16. again cheers for caring mate, i absolutley love my job and i would work for free for the experience if it wasn't a proper job (i hope he dosent read this lol). but again like i've said i feel i get paid fairly.

  18. i'm still at college and only working part time, but i get very well looked after by my employer, and he has looked after me since i did my school work experience when i was 15 with him, i think it is a fair wage, and i get taught a lot and sometimes i will cost more to employ than of use. i feel that i get a fair wage. and cheers for caring tcd
  19. im on around £45 a day, and I've been in arb working for the same firm for over two years, i've got self funded cs30,31,32,38. i climb most days at work and have all my own climbing kit and ppe. i think i get a fair wage, and i think you'd be looking at around £60 a day tops if you don't have a lot of experience

  21. yeah i might do, but i'd keep my type c's in my climbing kit and wear them with a saw in a tree

    i've just read ypur first post properly, and realised youll be felling upto 24" and the 440 would be the perfect saw for this, but with a 25" bar, it has excellent power to weight, fuel consumption and vibes
