  1. welcome to the forum mate. as many of us are tree surgeons we cut trees all year round, so as far as many of us are concerned, any time is fine. any cuts you make should be clean tear free cuts, and all to growth points, hope this helps
  2. for on hands, but it might be messy to do on your rope you can use mayonnaise, I've not tried it as it stinks but apparently it works really well

  14. if you work with any one doing tree work get them to constantly quiz you on both the Latin and normal names of trees you work on and drive past, that's what i did before i started college and in about an hour of driving i already knew about 10 trees in Latin and English

    lol no they are not just randomers, one is my mate who works for simon as well, and the other one is my mate who sometimes labours for me, and the other is my trainee climber little brother
  19. well i suppose if its one guy on there own using it all the time or if its going out in different teams of guys everyday then it will deffo not be as well looked after.we've had robin hedgetrimmers in the past and they are a very similar quality to echo and they do not take the abuse that the stihl ones do that we now have. just my opinion
  20. stihl all the way, there new hedgetrimmers are excellent. echo are cheap for a reason imo.
