    fallen oak pics

    oh no i've been rumbled
  2. just a couple of photos that i found of on oak that blew down, down my road a few years ago. i do the tree work for the farmer who's tree it is and in return they let me burn all my brash in one of their fields and let me have the logs for firewood. went out for a ride on my quad and found this tree had fell straight across a power cable so the power guys came and made it safe then i cleared up, all on a sunday evening going until it was about 10 at night.

  8. personally i recommend that an autolocking krab is used for saw to harness because a few weeks ago i was thinning a beech and i went to get my saw and it had fell off the clip type krab that comes with a tree magic harness, luckily no one was below me at the time and there was no targets, it also snapped the chainbrake handle. but just think how much damage it could do if a groundy was below me...

    free wood chip

    that chip is next door to me, and its mostly horse chesnut, with good access. my mum said dalman was round the school looking at the timber so i think he's having what hasn't been ringed up.
