  1. Thats a nice website Yorkshireman!
  2. [quote name=Adam;116554also with a chipper you end up with a yard full of chip you cant shift as fuel wood chip ect has to be clean.power stations also want clean dry chip.i think if this could be made and customers dont mind having a wacking great trailed inferno on their drive then brilliant. burning in some cases can be a lot faster (obviously depending on the timber) and cheaper than chipping. chippers cost what? £11' date='000 new for a tinnywolf? this will cost half that including a tractor to pull it. rowden at the next agricultural auction we must get an old spreader and try and make one of these [/quote] If burning was soo efficient and a more economical alternative to chipping why do the majority of tree surgeons use chippers?!

  4. Found this on BBC news - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7920199.stm Will provide work for some people in the affected areas! Has any one had any experience with either Phytophthora kernoviae or Phytophthora ramorum ? Should we be concerned or is it the media blowing it out of proportion ? Any thoughts/comments welcomed!

  6. Why not chip the waste and create a useable product?! Burning may seem like an easier/cheaper option but from my experience its a lot more work and time consuming than chipping. In the long term chipping has to be a lot more viable.
  7. Cheers for posting! Some useful information there for people new to the industry like myself!

  15. What impact will this increase of salt being spread on our roads (due to the snow) have on trees? Can we expect a lot of roadside trees to die due to reverse osmosis?? or to be an easier target for fungal pathogens as they will be under a lot of stress? Any thoughts/comments welcomed
