  1. Nice pics recently on here, especially Jays reduction and johns fat pine
  2. Nah, Gross misconduct, something only an idiot would do
  3. You brought a crap grinder and let your kit get nicked, putting your families and your workers families finances and health in danger... it was obviously your fault, you could have easily prevented it. Sack yourself for incompetence. CJW89, give it time to heal properly, tendons take time, as I'm finding out.
  4. I only do the occasional bit of milling, i have both a 660 and 880, anything over 20" especially hardwood I don't even consider the 660. The price difference between a 660 on a 36" bar and an 880 on a 48" is only £160+vat, well worth spending the extra.
  5. just soak the produce in water for a few weeks prior to delivery
  6. Cheers for that, yes dead root a possibility considering its location Dont blame you, the women in Chelsea are pretty fit, bit stuck up, but never the less you would wouldn't ya?
  7. what would cause one twist to be dead? Its hard to see in my crap pics, but theres a dead half twist, with a live tissue twist too, like its intertwined, but it's not, its still the same singular stem, twisted, with half the stem dead (from base to tip)
  8. Ive passed this tree a few times over the years, but had time to actually stop and photo it. Pretty cool, helical (?) growth from base to the tips spins round, live spinning round dead, no signs of trauma, or lightning strike, poor picture quality I'm afraid (overcast and iphone)
  9. Depends who you want to keep happy...the tree officer who specced a 0.5m reduction or the HSE bod...neither of whom have any practical experience
  10. Are you talking about the 560 here? If so whats this £20 Part?
  11. Yeah it's got a couple of USB slots, just no sdhc slot. Diddnt realize I could do it via a cable and leave the card in the gopro, ordered the cable so will hopefully have a play next week
  12. Nah she's not into that.....got a bollocking last time i tried Hands doing good, one more week in plaster, then physiotherapy, should be back to work in november...alot to catch up on, might even have to start doing 5 days a week
  13. Interesting! Does the arisings chip? whats the roots on palms like?
  14. Thanks, whats the best way to get the footage from the GoPro to the Air? Do i need some sort of sdhc card reader or is there a USB wire i can use?
  15. What's the best way to make a movie (from go pro footage) on a MacBook Air/ how are others doing it? (No SDHC slot) Go pro is an older hero2, I used to do it on windows-sdhc slott, movie maker Thanks

    Summer 2014

Nice little compilation, liking the vertical speed lines, can't remember doing one, might have to try it. Whats the average height of trees you're working on over there?
  17. Do you have a giant working for you tom?? Haha Would be interested to see it against the 362 and 560....and again once it's run in
  18. search google images for Eucalyptus seeds, i think your expert has gotten a little confused
  19. I for one think fair play mr forestry, if you can get the same product cheaper and still sell at market value then thats a logical choice for YOUR business to make more profit! Its not your responsibility to support other businesses. harsh but true However if you were selling at below market value at a price uk suppliers couldn't compete with, that would be bad practice, or just not very nice As long as its legal, fair enough!
  20. I think Swedish price and private shipping would kill it, or put at least 100 quid on the UK price Uk supplier here though Tree-Jack Felling Tool - OrionHeating.co.uk (saw it in a users signature)
  21. Thats just for a dropsided body, no lights, tipper gear, fitment, high sides etc
  22. The 200 is like a little gokart, can't lift much weight but brash its good at, not ideal for arb work, but ok on the odd perfect job. Haven't used the 3 or 400 series the 500 series is great, the older versions had metal panels which are a big bonus for arb work, also some, the +models i think, have telescopic arm which is, i think a must. the 600s are a fair machine, size, weight and lift wise, the 700s are only a bit longer than the 600 (i think) but will lift an extra 300(?)kgs, around 1.4ton. certainly an impressive machine if you have the space/width on site to accommodate it. the arctic steer makes it surprisingly nimble Ferrari Gandini (spelling) are also great bits of kit (used the 35hp version a few times) CSF MultiOne also make a similar range and i believe one of the bigger models has oscillating central pivot which would be better offroad. I'm hiring one next month on a job, first go on a csf attatchments, the best arb attachment iv seen/worked alongside is a kts forestry style swivelling skidded style grapple with hydraulic winch
  23. Is that a continuation of the ash rigging video? 2 months on one tree??? haha!
