  1. Course or no course, you'll be working your way up. Having the tickets will make it easier to get given a chance.
  2. He'll obviously be running it as a LGV, CE licence, O-licence, running it on white, regular vehicle checks, same as any other road haulage outfit ?
  3. I still feel sorry for jack, had it been a load of chip or logs weighing exactly the same no one would have battered an eyelid! Wet chip weighing in at 400kg m3 in an 8m3 chip bin, 3200kg! In hindsight, customer adding on the extra work, time limit and no delivery possible from the merchant could have been a chance to make more money, you could have made two trips and charged double the transport cost that you’ve charged the customer now. coulda, woulda, shoulda
  4. Snowflakes mate, “oh look, a thread called overloaded, I bet I can get offended by something in there!”
  5. So land rovers gonna flog their jumped up skoda yeti for the wrong side of 50k, a mate on Facebook priced one up with basic extras to 67k, yet Tesla’s pickup will start at $50k or £40k I know which one I’d rather have to mount kerbs and park on grass verges!
  6. Well I was gonna quote you liking it as land rover hitting their target audience mr middle class office boy ?
  7. Looks like yet another school run SUV landrover should rebrand to city rover
  8. Think he means isuzu Grafter Rich
  9. The transporter doesn’t hold weight well i run close to option 3. Biggest legal capacity weight wise and volume wise, most expensive setup too though option 2 plus the tipping trailer would be most versatile
  10. Not fit for purpose comes to mind how many hours?
  11. Finn that worked for Tom D? I’m looking for help mid September - Christmas maybe in the new year too but January is the new financial year and looking to take it easy. North of Stockholm If thats any interest send an email
  12. Plenty in Europe, so it’s doable
  13. Bear in mind the Amarok has the smallest interior of the mainstream pickups (as told by a mate who's a big fella but ended up getting one anyway!) One customer has a merc 814 box lorry for his Vimek forwarder, aims the tail lift down + some small extension ramps and drives straight up looks like a mini workshop inside too, very smart. thought of a 4x4 flatbed lorry instead? just use it specifically for the forwarder, no need for CPC even. 14. Looks interesting!
  15. ? So it is beneficial for the saw?
  16. Doesn’t it make it leaner? More oil=less fuel
  17. Why 33:1?
  18. Why?
  19. Not here (Sweden) unfortunately
  20. The amarok is a nice Car, (the hilux still feels a bit more like its built to work though) a mate has one which did need the engine splitting in 2, just under warranty luckily. But when the Navara n-guard, and hilux ultimate (high/top spec models) here are about 28k +vat, its hard to justify 45k +vat for the amarok.
  21. I like my 3ltr invincible, but often think about upgrading mainly for the need for 3,5t towing ability, navara n-guard is top of the list if I go for a new mainstream motor, better spec, warranty and can tow 3,5t
  22. Euro -12 engine?!
  23. Just because of the irony I reckon Bob will reverse a trailer into it today
  24. Work out what you want to pay, either out right, or if you're going to finance. Buy as new as you can. and the size of the machine. Include 1k in your budget for ramps, gaurds, teeth and other consumables or tools you don't have (spades, rakes, blower, grease gun, socket set etc) Whats your budget for the machine?
  25. I completely agree with your original sentiment, but the moderators are regular guys, volunteers, with their own busy lives. Make their lives easier by reporting those kinds of posts, the more there is reported, the less there is to see which will mean people are less likely to lower the tone
