  2. havent forgot rob, well i do when im at the wood yard with the decent wood! will try and take pics next time. hi phill, am i right in thinking we met at jonsies? sounds daft, but howd you earn the £800 from the planks? and in what time frame? and planks of what? who have you found you can sell them to? or are you being paid to convert logs to planks? sorry for the questions, but i wouldnt mind earning that too now that ive got an alaskan! josh

  16. stevie, you not remember that im a seller of chipper feed rods . . .
  17. cool, im eager to try my alaskan out which i got last weekend at jonsies show, thanks to rob D, watching him plank my walnut was great! one thing though, did you use the step by step instructions to build it??? built mine today, but just from the pics after getting confused!
  18. one thing you would need though is a stitched eye on youre climbing line, as any knot can potentially interfere with the hitch, and can release it
  19. ive had mine (same as the above but £28 from tree worker) for 6months now, climbing every working day, aslong as you dont do any crazy fast decents it'll last aslong, probabally longer than a prussik i know some people replace theirs weekly(not ocean poly) off the reel, and just tie double fishermans instead of stitched eyes
  20. ok try moving over to a hitch climber, with a vt style hitch, no more excessive thrusting, friction hitch doesnt tighten up, also alot kinder on youre body, mick stockbridge is the latest convert!
  21. simplest thing, are you using a cambium saver??? what rope you using?
  22. i think i offered to sell him 20 at £1 each, but then the others started laughing too much, and the deal was never done anyone want to buy 20 top of the range, locally produced chipper feed rods? may save youre life one day, only £1 each
