  1. need a new harness, so decided to try a tree motion out, went for a play today with the bosses one
  2. Im sold! just been out to try one, as comfy as the tree magic, so why not even tried footlocking, but it just wasnt gonna happen for fat boy
  3. i had the original one complete with bridge problems, still got it back in the uk, that was ok actually, but ordering a harness tommorrow! just seen this on the tree motion:scared1: dont think even peter has this much junk:lol: just gonna have lunch, then off for a climb, hows best to wear the tm? i like to wear harnesses below the top of my hips, not on my lower back
  4. cool, well wills tm is in the van, so i might go have a play in the oaks outside in a bit, mess up his adjustments for him i did wonder if you used the metal ring on the caritool, our boss uses the caritool to hold the handle of a topper, but then he is 3ft nothing!
  5. interesting, never used the caritools before, just a tool strop with metal ring, whats the caritools like for holding felling saws-660/880? looks like a saw would be bashing youre arse on caritools??? do you need a longer tool strop to account for the attatchment point being further away if stretching foward?
  6. football is a gentlemans game, played by thugs rugby is a thugs game played by gentleman
  7. i know alot of people rave about the treemotion, the guys i work with have the treemotion, but i think the tool loops look too flimsy, one guy clips saws on the side where i do, and its already looking like it will fail after 6months and theres no way im clipping my saw on the red loop behind myself! they look like a great pruning harness but i just dont think it would last . . . i will look again at the sequoia stevie, dan recommended it too.. in fairness to the treemagic, its lasted nearly 3 years of constant use, and i know its comfy for me
  8. Knowledge???? try the search function
  9. nice work pictures aswell!
  10. Cheers bobby:blushing: DO IT!!! i lost my 4th school mate in december, and realised there isnt 'all the time in the world' now i think 'if i were on my death bed, would i want to regret the things ive done, or regret the things i havent done?' for me it will be the things i havent done:001_smile: everyone MAKES their own luck, its not handed on a plate:001_smile:

    Arb pub

Alcholic Arborist a place to get legless, have pointless topics of conversation, where groundies sit outside and wait for their super hero climbers, and beer is cheap to allow for the low wages:001_tongue:

  15. thanks for taking my comment on board paul, actually means alot. i'll give you a pm over the next few days as i have some thoughts
  16. i have always felt cut off from the aa, and felt this at last years show, a them and us atmosphere, them being the aa members doing the lectures and seminars, us being me, just an ordinary tree worker, is there a way of the aa targeting us 'ordinary' tree workers?
  17. you have the wrong attitude to be on the books imo, i think youve the attitude, not to mention list of quals and (yet unproved) skill of a self employed guy, thats meant as a compliment by the way!
  18. sounds good, perhaps some pics of previous work will impress as much as youre qualifications
  19. there wasnt enough to see or do last year, vermeer were the only ones demoing, but even then H&S gave them a telling off, it never really had a buzz, or seemed to get started, and a pain to find, i remember a distint lack of signage! . . justins show was better, more diverse, friendlier, more relaxed, informal-diddnt seem to be a closing time, camping, drinking, music, plenty of food, inc 1 free burger and pint! FREE ENTRY!!! and that was his 1st show! this year i will be attending justins and the APF, even though theyre under a month apart, and in a diffrent country, theyre both worth going too!
  20. but but but what will i have to remember our time together?? the watertower in the backround? well the job was in Djursholm if thats any help mate? the painted building is at the side of the E4(?) think its something to do with the road builders, real cool whatever it is! bidgie smugglers??? youll have to enlighten me on them tom i was actually gonna ask the girl im seeing for her hotpants. . . but thought better off it, will get one of her thongs off her when shes back from holiday, and up the efforts:thumbup:
  21. 130 on the books, for decent company, before tax, if youre an allrounder is out there in the uk . . . good luck, but dont go in demanding top whack, if youre worth it, they'll bump you up
  22. haha, its ok mate, funny as! . . . that little out fit will be saved for future jobs!
  23. what do you consider well paid???
  24. HAHA!!!!! nice one, although i need tighter, smaller shorts i think! the bosses face was a picture when he saw me!
