  1. Not familiar with the Tony Bruno version but the original Alnico blue backs are very desirable , very nice amps. Had an AC50 top which I have always regretted selling.
  2. Nice !
  3. I think you'll find it's not optional ....
  4. Would strongly recommend you change the spur sprocket for a rim setup.
  5. Crank problems were with the 261 not the earlier 260. Possibly clutch springs, a new clutch and drum is not the end of the world. A very reliable saw worth a bit of TLC.
  6. Technically I think you'll find it's actually just a dog's dinner.
  7. Bought a couple of these kits from HIS Inverness . They were selling them for £49 + vat, a real bargain. It certainly cheered up my MS260.
  8. This is just another totally pointless oil thread exactly like the hundreds of other oil threads , which had you read, might have stopped you posting yet another one. I don't care what saw you use it's all been covered before.
  9. Where exactly are you getting this crap from?
  10. Unfortunately, the ms250 and ms261 have different bar mounts so the bar wouldn't fit.
  11. Just checked the date on the Stihl Ultra bottle two thirds used in the garage it appears to be 2012 and still seems to be doing its job ok. Never gave a thought to an expiry date.
  12. I'm guessing half the oil lying in the stores of dealers is more than 5 years old before it's sold.
  13. Bin the crap and bite the bullet.
  14. Have you tried smearing it with delicious Husqvarna Dipping oil? I find it very efficacious in most circumstances.
  15. Sorry I thought you meant Husqvarna Dipping Oil ---- Delicious!
  16. Looks more like an A77.

    Stihl recall

    I don't care.
  18. Probably a 24".
  19. Looks like something primary school kids would have thought up. I was hoping for a saw mounted length adjustable laser line.
  20. Just buy Aspen 4 stroke and mix it how you like.
  21. "as for milking with it, I expect you’ll be on a hiding to nothing " Totally agree with the above statement. Milking with a chainsaw is NOT recommended.
  22. Don't know if this saw is basically the same (it was .325 narrow kerf) but I converted to rim with the help of Shavey.
  23. I'm basically in the same position but have learned enough not to waste money on inferior tools.
  24. I'm guessing the best thing that could happen to this saw is to chuck it in the bin and buy an decent saw.(Just saying).
