  1. that is a great idea!!! thanks all for advice, so far i have sprayed "" keep off" and ""do not climb" directly onto the ends of some timber poles in the stack with aerosol spray have now looked into getting some signs made now, think i will go for do not climb on timber please keep to foot paths do not disturb birds, bats and bees in log pile was warned not to put up a sign that has the words danger on it......as you are admitting that you know there is a danger e.g warning, dangerous dogs live here....changed to...... guard dogs loose in yard!!!
  2. Where do we stand with this issue and how do we stop it??? I got kids playing on my stacked timber/ cord wood in a field next to public footpath, just wondered where we stand on the safety issue.
  3. Steve, can the mobile part of the site be improved? Mobile Internet is becoming bigger!! I never said I would join up at the start,I kept quiet, but if the mobile site improved I def would, it would replace yellow pages for me. Big incentive there!!! Especially as the directory is getting more hits!
  4. Pop tree co is certainly wood firewood co Pop will dry and be fine for this year as long as dried in small batches and given loads of air. If no air it will go mouldy and the bark will stay wet and just rot, all will turn black. I use it, it's good but not great.
  5. nice old profile pic there rich!!! is the crane fixed yet??? only been 2 years!!!

  6. actually ....I do !!!! sometimes it just doesnt work out to deliver 25 miles and add a delivery charge on top when there is another firewood company just 2 miles away from them. i must add though, for me to do this i have to know and be friendly with that person/company, which i am and we quite often visit eachothers yards and help eachother out. i have never got teritorial with ""my patch"" as there is plenty of business out there to be had, but customers can be ficcle and not hear off them from one year to another, and then suddenly they come back.
  7. Hey Jon, do you still have the skips. And Where in Somerset are you mate if come and pick up Also do you know the weights of them? Thanks
  8. john craddock 235/75R15 BFG AT £99......bargain
  9. thanks for the help guys yes i ment 31x10.5x15 its a 2004 ranger looking on the web it seems as if the only sizes avail for me are 235/75R15, so thinner and taller i suppose this means less resistance/friction on road and a touch more fuel economy, but will it have a gearing up effect on the truck???
  10. Need to be 265 70 15 to fit ranger. Where can I find some??? Can I swap over to 30 10.5 15 as these seem readily available. Have tried most Internet sites to find some, but may just have to buy the general grabber AT
  11. done!! thanks steve, but i may also get other comments/help/advice by starting this thread
  12. sorry, not intrested in buying it, but, ......whos is it, what did the tipping conversion cost and is it any good (tipper that is)????
  13. just in case you would like to know what the problem was............... the tracking!!!! the numpty who owned previous tightened up the tracking all the way on the one side and all the way out on the other. £45 later and the guys down the garage did lazer tracking and sorted it, and corrected the steering wheel. All works fine now thanks guys
  14. having recently bought an 04 ranger, nissans are plentyfull and cheap, rangers are rare and hold good money, old l200's have high milage and cheaper than rangers but more than nissans, and new style l200s are too much for what they are but i was looking for low milage and no vat vehicles.....plenty of those with nissans, which made me think, either they are not liked or there are loads about
  15. ummm yes had same with my sprinter and it turned out to need clutch dual mass flywheel and new master cylinder also have you had your cambelt done?? might be worth getting it done whilst its in
  16. i havent! steering wheel and wheel alignment are straight. wheels just dont turn enough one way and dont touch the stops, so think it is more than just that
  17. nice one tommer, will let you know what it is when i get back off hols, but if it is that, its a weight off my mind. thanks:thumbup:
  18. sounds like an idea my thought was that the steering mechanism has been replaced at some point and done incorrectly
  19. yeah thanks mate:thumbup1: but i dont think so, it does drive straight, just the steering wheel stops turning a bit too soon
  20. ok, left hand turn does touch, right hand turn does not touch, right hand side is the one which does not turn enough.
  21. no its not the stops the one side does'nt even touch before the wheel stops turning and no noise from power steering.
  22. bought a ranger through private sale and steering wheel will turn 2 full turns to the left, but only 1,1/3 turns to the right so i have a reduced turning circle to the right, which isnt noticeable when driving normally, but a pain when trying to park. not noticed till 2 days after when tried to park in tight spot:thumbdown: anyone got any sensible ideas on A) what the cause is B) how to fix it C) who to take it to??? thanks
  23. could you use the loadhandler conveyer thing with it or would there be too much friction??
