  1. she could be a registered childminder like my wife, she gets paid to say at home and look after y kids whil looking after others, earns around £8-900pm, would be more if my kids were'nt taking up 2 places averaging £250-350 per child per month
  2. logs can be hard work and space to keep the dry is a neccessity, but idiot proof it is not. as you say tractors break down and the machines are'nt the strongest built things and then you find out the staff has not set the right length on the machine and it all has to be cut again, it also gets quite tedious after a while and motivation drops
  3. got a wife and 2 boys........9 and 2 otherwise known as money magnets do have a 2 man sit-on-top canoe for rivers and surf, for me and my eldest son. good fun, but usually involves camping too
  4. i need to produce a H&S policy to get on the council procurement scheme. can any of you provide any help/links that can be used for the production of firewood and biomass woodfuels at base or out on site. also is there a generic H&S form that could be adapted to my needs. any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated:001_smile:
  5. i've been contacted directly buy similar companies from over there recently and they are asking for £90 per m3 delivered. think i need to but my prices up
  6. this forum scoffs at IBC containers not neccessarily! good idea, but how easy to empty and how efficient to fill?
  7. I LIKE THAT!!!!! i wish, i wish, i wish............
  8. local farmer was told off 2 weeks ago by EA and told to put it out with clean water and not to use the water out of the dissused slurry pit very much a case of ....do as i say, not do as i do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. fond fond memories of hill end camp site, jumping into blue pool, and the lessre llanmadog camp site, not to mention the kings head
  10. is that llangennith on the gower or rhossili?
  11. why not put splitter next to log pile and throw them? i feel it may be a waste of money to buy a conveyor to only move the wood 3-5 meters
  12. how do you split your logs at the mo?
  13. why is it when you are really busy in work, all the machinery will break down but when its quiet and no rush on, everything works fine why do all government organisations find the most difficult and complicated ways to do the simplest of things?????????
  14. i think the monetary figures are a little out of date
  15. It may have been downrated to 3500kg. best to contact dvla before purchase though
  16. its basically the same as pine
  17. they stuck around for a conversation about what they did and took notice of the advice given....... that says something on its own. i'll not defend what they did or how they did it, but how many new to the industry wannabe newbies do we all now of that cannot sharpen a saw and would make do with whatever equipment they can get hold of. as mentioned earlier it was more a case of ignorance
  18. it was daves harness mate. have text james about it but no reply yet. as for the guy, atleast the climber was trying to learn
  19. :blushing:yeah. i want some too:blushing:
  20. aahhh feel the love men, feel the love:001_tt1:
  21. exactly the same here, got to keep an eye on the stove whilst working so the fire dont die down. buy bigger capacity machine and produce more split wood before the summer
  22. one thing i will mention is if the stove is lined with firebricks, try to get one with clay firebricks and not vermiculite. the latter crack very easily
  23. not swept mine for 3 years either. sweeps in my area rave about how clean the chineys are of my customers. one customer was not charged for a sweep as nothing came out. water in wood causes tarring, not resin in softwood. a hot fire will self clean a chimney, if you burn coal you will need to sweep
  24. i personally wouldnot buy british stoves and would go for a jotul i'm not saying all british are bad, and god knows we need the indusrty here but the european brands are far better quality.imo
  25. so whats it like now dean? and did you clean it? how often do you sweep it... honestly now
