  4. it says this year is free, does that mean you may charge in the future??? will you have a bonfire and bbq for the campers???
  5. got pulled today by vosa in my 300tdi disco pulling a 1 ton trailer with 2.5 ton of chipper (pto) on the back. i was reliably informed that my landy should be fitted with a tacho as i was outside the 50k allowed and total weight combination was well above the peritted 3.5 ton. i was sign written on both the landy and the chipper so was unable to say it was for private use. i was looking at a £200 fixed penalty and a prohibition where i would have had to leave the trailer on site and return with a vehicle with a tacho and capable of towing 3.5ton thankful due to my politeness and my explanation of this whole thing was new to me , they let me go with a caution and some bumf to read. SOO has anyone had a tacho retrofitted and how much does it cost????
  6. hi mate, i'm over in cardiff and doing the same heres my experience... its very difficult/near impossible to get hardwood here at the moment the bridgend area is very competitive as there are several other firewood merchants there if you are buying in by the wagon load you need lots of space and something to handle it with too as well as a processer and you will also pay more for processer size timber under 12" i've spent 8 weeks so far trying to source hardwood and spoken to 12 people now, as far as i can work out the majority of hardwood is going to D&J fuels, Fernwoods and Certainly Wood and they are buying up everything i use arb stuff but it is hard work and takes a long time if you want to contact me by telephone then PM me for it, or look in yell pages and see if you can work out which one is me!!!!

  9. how much you can find someone for less than that pluss that wouldnt be 140 on top of the price it would be £40 over the £100 you would pay your normal groundie unless climbers cant chipp that is:sneaky2: £100 a day for a groundie.............you got any jobs going?????

  20. oooohhh are'nt you the opinionated one!!! what i was gettin at was, if it was never built how can we know what wood it was made of. i too have my own opinion about religion, but wont say on here as past threads and posts have caused quite a bit of upset to the point of threats and legal action
  21. yep worked that one out too!
  22. gopher wood or kopher wood is any wood covered in pitch or bitumen, it is thought cedar wood, because of the area, but sandalwood was also a thought, but this is mainly found south of the equator. is there any hard evidence to support what wood or even that it was built???
  23. actually, in my unfortunate case (and i wont say what) the fire brigade turned up with mewp, paramedic in basket to rescue me. Fortunately for them i was still concious and had to instruct them how to rescue me by getting the weight off my rope and krabs to get me down in the mewp. 3 qualified climbers on ground unable to rescue me. when the sh** hits the fan,.....dial 999
