  1. Very nice Steve i am no good on computers. My daughters boyfriend came round tonight and said i love those boards can you make me one to give my parents for christmas:laugh1:
  2. To right. My two are 18 and a half the wife said tonight they are adults and you never think they will grow up but stay small:001_smile:
  3. Same here i am 47 and i ache all over but a real buzz when you go home and see what a good job you have done and even better a year later when the woodland wakes up with new life:thumbup:

  11. All done three are olive oil and three bees wax there is no difference in look but bees wax has a silky feel thanks again guys. If Mrs Oakman wants anymore i might have to hit her with one:lol:

  13. I am doing the housework today which is a good thing as i can have Arbtalk on standby all day but then i started reading this thread Stevie and now i am all behind with the chores
  14. Mrs Oakman has gone to london to help no1 son. So i have got to do the house work. No one told me i needed to get HSE and COSH for it:lol: i was doing the hoovering in slippers like the ones Dean lofthouse uses for plastering and i tripped on the wire and went over like a bag of spuds:biggrin:

  17. Thanks to all that answered, i am now oiling them up. Ido need some more help does any one know a link to a site for printing small cards on your own printer mrs Oakman wants me to put in small cards saying the wood, where it is from and who made it ect. By the way mrs oakman loved them so much she wanted four on Thursday yesterday it had gone up to six:lol:

I have seen the plastic tree ties inside a tree stem and it was going the same colour which must be water getting in i think:001_smile: I know a plantation where the trees keep dying because they used the potato bag ties and they are growing in the stems and they rot at them two places and snap:thumbdown:

  21. I know of old Alder that size i am waiting to go beating there again and i will take my camera they are beside the river in Alder carrs on private land:001_smile:
  22. If you can see holes higher up the trunk then yes it may well be bats. The bats will live higher and the droppings drop down get wet and run out of small holes as in your picture.

  24. I was cutting firewood on Saturday and mine is on the deck the mice had nests everywhere. The bottom row is just a bit muddy but i have a blade not chain on the processor so . By the time it has dried a few months in the barn and loaded in the trailer it will be alright:biggrin:
  25. It certainly looks tidy but it is the workings that count. Just goes to show you can get let down by Buying on pictures only.
