  1. Herts wood, Me too as got worse every time I get taged, that pen even works through ballistics as the evil nurse at our docks got a blank 1 to try for me, it hurt buy prooved it worked
  2. Glad your doing better, that's some heavy reading hope the copy of loaded is just out of frame That last pick is of the exact spot I sat with my boy most days when we spent 12 days in there earlier this year watching the diggers. The park across the road is quite nice when your feeling well enough and are allowed some fresh air, hope it's soon
  3. That would have been me off to A&E, stings like that can be sooo bad if you get a reaction.
  4. Hell any tree work video beets hr after hr of soddin Justin Fletcher on cbebies Childrens tv when I am in charge of the kids and YouTube on my phone keeps me sane, and anyway all charges wer dropped about that last time :p
  5. That's what my Mrs seems to think! :what:
  6. And well over twice the price omt. I have the little rg13 and have found with a bit of effort and sharp teeth it can punch well above its weight.
  7. Handmade hooks only £8 And would do smaller ones in top of pick separately but didn't get a price. Bloke did some nice stuffhttp://www.awartistblacksmiths.co.uk
  8. The only grounds I'd still get hiflex for Does my bum look good in these
  9. I was thinkin more like a truck cab 110 with the back off and a sub frame built onto the outriggers to carry the crane and legs similar to how a Mewp would be mounted which should give more space for a k boom to fold up on. Think I spotted something like this year's ago On powreline construction but not sure how it was set up. That one on eBay looks tidy but would struggle to put much into a trailer still attached as lacking reach.
  10. Yes it tips, quick way to unload Cutting stuff smaller is ok if it's just firewood quality but I often want to lift bigger bits to mill or beams I have mill or carved chairs so the Crain is invaluable for this but handy the rest of the time. One line of thought we had a while back and wounded if any1 had or knew of a landrover with the rear tub removed and a crane fitted On like many have done with mogs be it on a smaller, cheaper scale, this way maximising the available towing capacity?
  11. Been watching your vids on YouTube for a while now, always good
  12. Could be you wolfie needing some PPE if she finds out about this thred
  13. Hope you pull round quick Chris. You are in the best place as the rvi is an excellent hospital and will get you sorted. Rest and let the docks do what they do best.
  14. Think that last bit is going to have to change if it's in this LPA area as had no problems with the outher 3 I regularly deal with, never anymore hassle than a con area app.
  15. Going to start with the softly nicely approach of a phonecall on Tuesday explaining about their own requests and if they got off their bureaucratic arses and actually looked at what was sent them ie street map, sketch plan and satellite photo with tree marked even a nitwit could work it out!
  16. I was tempted by a direct, accidental hit with the bigshot and throughpod
  17. I don't know how anyone ells go's on with charging clients for the whole application process but it's in with the price of doing the required tree work with me,at the moment. But when a lpa starts the back and forth paper chase and everything that go's with it I've found I could have spent best part of half a day overall sorting it for nothing extra in the bank at the end. Derail I know sorry but just got 1back saying they could not clearly identify the only tree in a front garden from my sketch plan that I need to remove 1 branch from, clearly labeled on a photo, so the council's own recycling bin wagon can get under it.looking like it might be refused.
  18. Got a call about a stuck cat :what: instant reaction was some1 taking the tiss so said offer food if not get some1 to shoot it down and get a new one as cheaper than paying me to get it. Lady sounded quite upset so appolagised and explained I though she was taking the piss so if it wasn't down by 5ish I'd come and help but not heard owt so it must be sorted
  19. Nowt at the moment as blowen the seals on the hand pump and stript a tooth On the worm cog On the slew, was only picking up the log splitter:banghead: It's ment to lift 450kg at 1.2m and 250kg at 2m but am sure have lifted more at times. It's so handy for all sorts of things that's why I'm looking for something bigger so I can save on ringing timber just to give it away. Ist also so handy for lifting the little rg13 grinder over walls into gardens and bags of rubbish back out.
  20. The set up herco has is exactly what I am lusting after at the moment but for now make do with this. Out of interest what sort of price is a crane link that?
  21. Drag racing is a lot of build up for 10seconds of noise and smoke what you want is some tractor and truck pulling and monster trucks Off tomorrow as long as its not persisting it down link today then a carmer day at reeth country show on Monday to look at well presented animals. Got too fill days off or the wife finds me diy to keep me occupied.
  22. This whole issue is about an informed balance between what is best for all involved. In order of importance tree, owner, public /council and also us as contractors as if we are refused all work as responsible arborists the trees may start to reach a point where they do become to much of a hazard/risk for thear location and be removed when if we were allowed to manage them a longer harmonious existence could be achieved. If a council gets a reputation for overprotecting the TPO trees, TPOing any tree in conservation area that we apply to work on people will start to get the attitude link thismornings client of ' I want rid of ever tree on my new property before they become a problem and before any protection is on them' Hope this is sort of relevant to the Op.
  23. Better not Mrs Fox hear you say that or they be strong words before coco
  24. A very early 1I made for our Hall, square pegs then turned round with a tennon Cutter and bashed into a hole a mm smaller than the tennon, it's held up to all the stuff my wife hangs on it for over 7year's now and all made out of scrappy bits in the workshop.
  25. Not 1I cut but I often work on outher trees around the place.
