  1. Had no problems with arborisk and got my PL , EL, hired in plant and professional indemnity all on 1 policy from them and saved a packet on having it all together rather than from several providers. Tree surgery insurance were the best for PL Trust best for EL. But combined arborisk were very competitive and very easy to deal with and all sub 1k a year.
  2. No the op is correct in what he's trying to achieve, if we all took the opinions of why bother then why do we bother doing the checks and paperwork, waiting 8 weeks to get on with the job etc. Then why bother having tpo's at all or even conservation areas? Might as well just do what we like when we like? I've priced jobs in con areas then driven past a week later and it's been done, spoke to clients and my price was lower but the 2nd contractors (if you can call them that) had a special exception so could do the work the next day which is what they wanted :what::what:
  3. Now now that's just cruel. 11kv and do the job properly  If the 1 that tagged me last week is anything to go by simply cow setting is anough to put any1 off coming back for 2nds!!
  4. Wire them up to an electric fence doda when you get them, that'll slow them down a bit!
  5. The advantages of the sleeves coming of is you can stick the cans in the recycling and they take them ( about 8 every 2 weeks with me) leave the sleave on and they won't take em as I found out with just 1 can out of a green box full of them.
  6. I know but with a decent ribcage trailer behind for 2nd handling thinings out to roadside where an artic could get to or biomass in the yard round to the chipping area ideal!
  7. Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=301433869323&alt=web Not a Bedford but I'd be tempted.

    Bad dreams

I dream everynight, normally don't remember details except for when it's a nightmare then that's in full hd surround sound 4D you name it its in it! Worst is falling asleep while driving normally when I haven't had a sit down after driving then going to sleep or as mentioned before dehydration plays a big part in triggering it with me. Had to teach myself how to shut it out and think differently almost manipulate my dream into the way I want it to go.
  9. That man is a legend Paul, a true gent and someone to be respected for all the charity fund raising he has done. Though you were off the pop till Christmas, just a sneaky taster is it ;-)
  10. Like I said was ment to be but changed speck and the cap nuts I'd got looked even stranger than 2 nuts locked together to cover the thred tops. Only got to stay till end of January when this particular exabiton ends then will be changed back again to 3 shelves with top being at the top with cap nuts.
  11. They actually like that as it's a bit of barbed wire that has been milled through (trashed my chain) but you can see it imbedded in the wood as a shiny bit.
  12. 2 nuts and a washer locked together protecting the top of the bar from unsuspecting eyes. Top shelf was ment to be at the top but they had changed the picture in that place since I measured up and didn't have any cutting implement with me to shorten them.
  13. Yes 20mm stainless, was going to use 6 but 4 was steady anough and started with 3 shelves stepped to depth but top needed to be lower to clear the pictures so 2 looked better.
  14. Good for a 200tdi not as good as a td5 not sure what the new 2.4 will be like but I'd bet it'd be good. Just gives a deeper growl with only 1 mid box and being 3.5" bore over 2.75" standard.
  15. Minimalistic rustic chunky is what I was asked for and I hope I delivered. Oak and stainless m20 threaded bar and nuts, simple.
  16. Bit of crafty work this afternoon after a spot of pricing. Minimalistic rustic chunky is what they wanted and i think that's what I gave them?
  17. Drive past that place regularly and have to look the other way! Got a custom twisted stainless exhaust on my 130 that sounds good and let's her breath better but could never afford to go the whole hog, Charles who owns it is a cracking bloke to deal with and really knows his stuff!
  18. What I'd really like is something like this, the mog not the mewp. 1 day eh.
  19. Cool, must save so much time on a standard setup being all integral. Alex and his team at acprice have done themselves proud producing such a well thought out machine for you.
  20. I'm taking it you and your wife have sorted your differences and back on good terms, looking a cracking place to stop Chris, very plush!
  21. That was little Stephen we was talking to I think jon.. Looking good out at work Elliott. Can you drop the basket over the front and lift the legs to drive forward a bit to next working position or do you need to park it back into a cradle before it'll lift and drive?
  22. Not yet lads, still under 13stone but getting to that age and using more machines to make life easier on the body so just goto watch it ;-)
  23. Yeh, I need to be careful or I'm going to hav to follow your lead and start eating healthy - after Christmas.... Bens doing good, really fitting in well, works hard and learns quick, hope to get him on a climbing and aerial rescue course early next year. At which point I'm really going to have to watch what I eat ;-)
  24. That's Ben having his 1st go with a grinder that didn't required fighting with, decided I'd let him have a go while I backfilled in a few holes already ground out as I was freezing stood still twiddling switches. At 1 point yesterday I did contemplate sitting in the landy with the heater on to keep warm but then remembered I'd probably be colder with the crap heater in it :what:
