  1. Best not to admit that on a public forum, if he has read it here or someone has shown him, your day in court may not end so well. Its not the only forum you have posted this on!
  2. If its an 18hp twin v like the one on my chipper, it will have a magneto on the flywheel, and should produce 14.4 volts when running
  3. Thanks for that. Found a kit online for my paint code, and there is a helpful 20min video to boot! £15
  4. Is that something a motorist place will stock?
  5. Managed to roll my dumper today, and damaged the side cowling Any ideas on how to repair this myself? I know the paint code, but it looks like it needs some sort of filler first!
  6. Thats a very good point, hadnt thought of that!
  7. Forest, i put a whole thread on brewcabin about when mine was nicked. I was lucky, i got it back. Tcp had one nicked. Was their own fault, they dropped it off on a site with no signature, no id, and no one there! That machine is still to this day trying to be sold on ebay, often at different ends of the country. They even have the temerity to use photos of their yard! The problem is, if anyone ever does buy it, they wont ever be able to get spares without the serial number, and if they give it, it will show as stolen and no spares will be sold! The problem is, every time its on ebay, i cannot report it to them as stolen as i am not a law enforcement agent. Ebay seem not to care to be honest. What i do is ask for the serial number constantly, then ebay sense something is amiss and remove the listing. I will continue to do this until such time as i can get a copper to investigate and get the machine recovered. These scumbags will not win!
  8. They are quite bulký things to wire in. Mate has them on his, and they drain the battery if you do not use the machine for more than a couple of days. Easy to find and rip out in the event of theft
  9. The fan comes on approx 40 seconds after the engime has started, and stays running until you switch the engine off. If the fan fails for whatever reason, the crusher jaw will not work.
  10. Well i kind of what to catch people out, and take the money off their card once i confront them with the evidence!, then not hire to them again, and they would be stuffed as no one else really doing it round here! Its theft at the end of the day. I only suspect one hirer of doing this, they drew attention to themselves by keep in mentioning the hours, but i saw the pile of stuff they had to crush, and knew it was a two day hire in the back of my mind!
  11. Thats sorted then, will wire it in and not worry, fan wiring has a fuse !
  12. I am going to wire in a hidden hour counter in my crushers as i suspect certain hirers of disconnecting the exisiing counter in an attempt to defraud. I have the hour counters, and i can pick up a live feed off the cooling fan, but wondering if i need an inline fuse? If so, any clue as to what size fuse? The hour counters are 0.8watts consumption
  13. Lack of maintenence. Moss and weeds due to not cleaning regular. Drainage nothing to do with it. You get moss on tarmac drives and block paving etc, if its shady. Show me astroturf thats been down for 5 years or more that doesnt look crap
  14. I hate this stuff. I have ripped up more of it than i have laid, as after a few years it really does not look good. Latest one had moss, mint, small trees and weeds growing in it, it was uneven and looked a mess. Now its been paved over
  15. Been using thunderbolts for years. I tend to use the countersunk ones, with the torx head. I find they are good on concrete posts. The trick is to drill dead centre where there is no steel, and although it recommends a 6mm drill for the 8mm bolt, 7mm is better on the concrete posts, as usually you cannot get it to screw in otherwise
  16. 35 6mm sheets will cover 100sqm, they will cost you £1008 plus vat according to their website
  17. Www.solwayrecycling.co.uk. they sell black plastic sheets, bullet proof. 8 x 4, in varying thicknesses.
  18. I have a ripper for my k008,and its a godsend, but on tree stumps, i like the idea of the saw part being able to slice through the roots. Might have to order one up!
  19. K008, with a digbits thumb and 450 bucket? Why no quick hitch??
  20. Would be useful for further info on some sites, as one said free tip with restrictions, but what are the restrictions?
  21. Therein lies the problem. Its money making excersise.
  22. But it depends on what machine it is? If i do a course on operating a timberwolf, the controls and operating will be different on a greenmech?
  23. Am i misssing something, but wtf is the point of a chipper ticket?
  24. Would appreciate if the policeman who contacted me regarding the gang stealing concrete crushers could message me if he is reading this! I have some info
