  1. Thats certainly an eye opener there! How many people will stick to the limits remains to be seen!
  2. Crusher jaw came to the end of its life.note the cracks on the webbing, and the failed boss at the bottom of the jaw. It would have carried on a bit more, but without intervention, it could have failed whilst on hire, so today it was extracted from the machine Removing the top pin was a nuisance, and required a huge metal battering ram suspended from the forks of the avant to aid its removal. Top of jaw has twisted so pin will not come out of the jaw, but it moved far enough to disconnect the ram!
  3. I have watched all these mtrack videos. Makes me want to change tracking companies and use them instead!
  4. What were the let downs out of interest? Amd will they do a dash5 to compensate?
  5. If its a scatolini tipper, sounds like you have the same problem i had. Its tne bearings that sit either side of the bottom of the ram. Mine had seized and they couldnt move so the ram could lower. Annoyingly, they are not greasable, so it was a ram out job to free them and get them working.
  6. What tipper is it?
  7. I will inspect your handiwork next time i am up there. The conifers over past spinball wizzer need topping!
  8. Is that the same infamous location as before?
  9. Generally, the deeper you go, the thinner the roots, so a grafting spade chops most, and the terrasaw blade does the others
  10. Depends on the a angle it has to go up!
  11. It looked like my favourite place in the country. Wicker man involved?
  12. I tried to post on trip advisor the other day, and as i hit the upload button, it stopped me warning me that profanity wasnt allowed. I hadnt intentionally used it, but i had mis spelled that, and put an s at the front! So, perhaps there is some filter that can be added to stop this happening pre post stage?
  13. Racking and shelving in the back
  14. All i know is they sent an assessor out to look, he must have flagged it up. He tried to fight it, but the small print clearly stated about failure to notify modifications etc. He has moved companies now
  15. Nothing happened to me. It was to a mate who had an accident, side swiped someone on motorway. The said because he has not informed him of the modification, they only paid out for the damage to the other vehicle.
  16. First try and clean out the heads of the bolts as far as you can. The deeper the socket fits in, the less chance you have of knawing the heads off. I did have to weld on a nut to undo mine. I am not a skilled welder, but i use a mig weldrper which is much easier. I think with a stick welder, as long as you can fill the inside of the nut up , it should be ok, and the heat will also help free up the bolt. An impact driver is an invaluable tool too!
  17. Just a warning to all who do this, you must tell your insurance company you have added shelves and racking or in the event of a claim, they will invalidate it!
  18. Bobcat e26 so 2. 6 ton, nice as can still tow it around Is it 2.6tonne with the harvester head on?
  19. How would bottom wire strained in work on ground with undulations?
  20. Seems to work, that looks pretty straight And upright to me! My p30 you can knock them down to a stop gauge so they are all in the same depth, i presume the plimb line does the same thing, once it touches the ground, stop!
  21. I have the p30 contractor on my kubota tractor. Was looking at adapting it to fit my avant but worried about too much oil flow. How do you get on if you are on your own with a digger mount getting the posts level. With mine you stand by the machine and operate the controls so its a piece of cake
  22. Definately screen it first. It makes crushing quicker, you get a cleaner product, and its less wear on the crusher jaw plates. Avant do a screening drum now which is worth a look
  23. Does tne cat phone have predictive text? So far, all the tough phones i have looked at none have predictive text!
  24. Both! . Sometimes its scattered along the border. Any concrete i break off i yake away and recycle. Worst case scenario, i bag up the stuff i cannot lose and it rinds it way into the next skip
  25. Mmm. I have a jcb beaver. Never lets me down. Put in 7 spurs yesterday. The trick is to dig down the front of the exisitng concete ball, then i crack the concete off from the front of the post. It usually breaks off in one lump. The beaver is perhals overkill, Yes its a lump to carry around, but no worse than a gennie and an elec breaker, plus mine works in the rain.
