  6. yeah there are a lot more now than there ever have been. But people and businesses will come and go. Competition is a good thing and can only help to make improvements and push the bar higher. However the reality is there will always be one who will slash their prices, and there will always be the cheap gardener or mate with a saw brigade!
  7. hi steve heard about the 8$%6 russ!!! can't wait to see him out and about

  11. being serious i have some stuff i had put together from when i was in business before! Just a breakdown to show the bank manager, Like what it does, why you need it and the benefits you would see for the business and profit blah blah. i would possibly have to type it back out again but if you want it i could do it whilst sipping a beer over the weekend and then PM you. Well maybe we should sort out an arbtalk research trip:thumbup:
  12. your now derailing your own thread
  13. would love to and i would trust you to pay me back but if i took it out i would have to ear mark the money for a arb research trip to greece. I would fund a Sunbathing experiment on how long it would take my lily white body to catch up with my glistening brown arms and face:thumbup: Or rob a Post office or somthing mate! I know how you feel mate but you will get one
  14. Mark it was Natwest and they do that gauranteed by the goverment scheme thingymajig!
  15. I didn't take it! I new i would have spent it all by tomorrow:lol: and banks are like women all alluring with sexy offers and then once they have got you they treat you to nothing and take everything you got

  17. Well i spoke to a leading high street bank today and they told me that they are still lending the same now as they were before? and offered me a stupid overdraft(we are talking K's) on a brand new business account with no business plan or history with that bank:confused1:
  18. I find that that is the hardest part about training in S.Wales there is no academic arb to pursue :thumbdown:apart from online and sometimes especially people like me, do really well when taught by someone.
  19. dug it over and smashed the last of the oozing mushy stump today and built the walls up as it a raised area. So am ready to put on the sugar tommorrow! Oh and the main point the missus is happy:001_rolleyes:
  20. going to do the veg in the small part! but want to turn the rest to lawn for my daughter to play on and plant the odd flower, shrub and tree. Cheers for the advice Lee really appreciate your input/advice want to get things sorted this week:thumbup:
  21. cheers lee thanks for that will get onto getting some pig manure failing that horse as i can get that anytime. I would rather put the sugar in my tea but will have a go. The soil in the main garden is very clay and wet so i was going to add organic material and grit to try and give it better dainage and hopefully become more fertile. What do you think? i think i will wait to see if a herringbone drainage system is needed until after the turf has been layed and i can observe it better. Not sure if its slightly boggy wet because it has been covered for so long with nothing to soak up the water and no way for evaporation as such:confused1:
  22. Hi everyone i need your varied and wide ranging opinions for my garden. I have not long moved into a house where the whole back garden was decked. I have now started to take 2/3rd up, i was wondering why there was a raised area like a seat feature:confused1: Found a nice raised bed with 4 very rotten stumps with 10 Ganaderma adspersum (as seen on tis the season to be fungi:blushing:)brackets on them! The question is i want to put that bed back to good use either with veg or shrubs, do i need to treat that soil before i can grow anything? I personally think it does however if it does what do i do? Cheers guys for looking and thanks for your opinions in advance:thumbup1:
  23. Well vinny in a lid!
  24. All i will say is that empty vessels make the loudest noise!
  25. was the old dude the customer?
