  1. Hi guys I have been asked to do two trees for my father in law in St. Germans. 1 euc 22m and 1 conifer 14m. Is anyone interested in giving me a pm either with a price for removal only i.e. one load of chipping and 1 load of logs on a 1 day price or if you wanna quote for it! PM me and i can pass on your details. He has had one price of £2500. Which seems outragously steep from the photos!
  2. Just seen it on tv and just looked it up! Horrble my thoughts are with them.
  3. really OTT but i didn't see the first part where he drove off either! and his story sounds extremely weak:sneaky2: reminds me of that video where the coppers were caught out hitting a squaddie on the floor.
  4. Not a dig at arbjobs but these big firms just advertise constantly and i was considering moving down to devon cornwall to find work as 2 big companies were advertising they needed climbers. Spoke to them on the phone sent cv's and emails, no replies!!!! waste of my time
  5. As an ex Royal Navy Medic with Afghan and Iraq tours under my belt i think that basic FA is essential not only to our work but everyday lives! When i taught first aid i always reminded people that they were more likely to use these skills on people they know and care about. The worst i have come across is when i worked for my LA they were adament they wern't going to train anyone in the tree gang???? What a joke:thumbdown:

    stihl 200t

if in doubt take it back to where you bought it and get them to look at it thats what i would do after excluding the really simple and obvious i.e spills, loose fuel cap etc
  7. I don't know what you have had done but you would be able to get a further sicknote if you were to say you were still in pain! Be creative as your health is important too
  8. Is it a nasty big pile of stuff? coz if its not i would throw it though your chipper for you:thumbup: did i say for a small labour fee:001_cool:
  9. Hi muckshifter are you based in the swansea/ neath area? Have we met?

  10. Maybe you should add the ability to take a photo to your groundy advert
  11. Jon lad thats a great looking tree. I am in awe!!!
  12. I thought it was me for a minute:blushing: but mine will be me spiking off a tree looking at the stem as i walk backwards then i spike into my own boot and fall outta the shot behind a log:lol: The people who we were working for filmed the lot and said they would give me a copy in HD. I was going to send it to youve been framed but they beat me to it:sneaky2: so keep your eyes peeled:thumbup1:
  13. Oh and as a H&S bod once said "This job is not dangerous as it should be done safetly"
  14. I would get outta bed for £30 a day cash and do most things i.e. basic labouring if it meant paying the bills and feeding my daughter. Personally i have set a new path of college and university so i can have a more secure future. I am bricking it as to how the hell i am going to afford it. IMO you are setting your £ sites far to high for employment. Self employment = better pay and employment = security. It would be tough to find the both. As it has all ready been said the worse is yet to come unemployment is going to sky rocket the next couple of years.
  15. I personally have a problem with people using the Welsh and British flag as clothing, and being draped over shoulders and dragged on the floor! I cant think of anything more dissrespectfull:cursing:
  16. Sorry what i mean to say is how long did he serve for? or was he a medical discharge? As i am sure that affects wether he is entitled to any retraining/ resettlement money. Also if he was that would have been covered before he left! Hope that makes more sense than the last one sentence i posted
  17. Personally i would use a silky and cut out the dead flowering stalks and remove any dying limbs and pull off any dead or drooping fronds! job would be a goodun:thumbup1:
  18. Don't know the ins and outs but timberwolf are entec and entec are timberwolf! I am sure someone will correct me if i am wrong:001_tongue: However i think the point should be is that they are advertising the machine as 2001 timberwolf! now i know they were still producing entecs in 2001 as deano on here has a 2001 entec(different machine to this one) so it is prob an entec. This could be a good machine and the kohler is prob a more powerfull engine than the briggs on my timberwolf:laugh1:
  19. plus if youve seen it elsewhere is the tel no.s the same and the location? Just asking as i enquired about an entec before and i had seen it advertised earlier that year. Basicaly some scammer had nicked/ripped the photos from the net and was trying a con. wire the money it will be sent by trailer blah blah just be carefull! especially as the descrption is a little bit wrong , or could be an honest mistake? have you spoken to him on the phone?
  20. after reading description i think it is the entec, with regards to the kohler engine and ignition system.
  21. IMO on the basis of owning a 2000 version i would say it was the earlier entec! As the hitch system is different plus no cover and the entec does! but could be wrong hope that helps
  22. Which show cirencester/AA?
