  7. Anno, i think thats changed to unlimited fine now, not just per bat, kit seizure and arrest, from my last BCT course. Working on a new site now that will soon be active ly and closely monitored 😳 K
  8. Bugger. They made good gear 😳 K
  9. If i had followed that line, we would have accepted liability on a 6 figure repair bill on a property 2 yrs ago, i dug my heels in on that one and after much back and forth, structural issues were found in the build design. They paid. We didnt. K
  10. My normal request on being faced with a tree related subsidence claim is a soil report, structural engineers report and tree report, without all of those you dont know wether its the house build quality, the tree, the drains or soil shrinkage. Or All of them! IF yr soil is shrinkable clay removing the tree could cause soil heave as soil rehydrates. But you need to know exactly why yr house has those cracks before you act. K
  11. ( ring porous or diffuse porous, time of year, amount of cash in it 😉 )
  12. Plus species specific too. K
  13. Almost brick for brick like my sisters house. Certainly dont start blaming tree until you got more evidence or it could make bad - worse. Whats happening next door? They any problems? K
  14. You probaly set the right tone there @bigbrowntree genuine gift for good efforts rather than nightmare schedules of bonus n the resultant agro. K
  15. Did you have conservatory mini piled or just footings? K
  16. That ended decades ago. US told Israel, France n UK to get the fvvk out. K
  17. My neighbours are astonished at what i do- one actually got a bloke in to put up a shelf.... He makes more money than me. A Lot More Money.. How can UK even produce stuff without basic skills taught across the board. K
  18. ( Echo got good warranty)
  19. Used the Stiga and Tanaka, both good and cheaper than Stihl. See who yr nearest dealer is next step. K
  20. All those other saws are better than 201s 😉 K
  21. @agg221 i meant the whole apprentice engineer skills shortage in UK, happening since 70,s i passed Royal Ordnance apprentice exams at Barnbow after leaving school then had change of heart n went into Forestry, that factory closed 2006 so the idea we hold on to or develope skilled personell in UK is anathema to most of the Govs we end up with here. Buying it in or subbing it out is second best strategy or worse . K
  22. @agg221 well i have been watching that fr last 30 years, still not seen the result 😕 K
  23. Solitary bee habitat writ large K
