  18. Never bothered felling with one as i dont live in the Amazon - only used logging up big butt ends. Which is fine until you find a nail with it then pick up a lighter saw to finish the cut. Basically i never bothered. Which oddly is what my school teacher said. K

    Yes i have experience of them. Yes they are rubbish. A good silky pole should do most things along the water way. Anything substantial or too high up might be writing you out of yr Risk Assesment-Method Statement position. K
  23. I would guess it has to be moulded ( like a remould tyre) then vulcanised - hence aluminium cog. Sounds expensive ? K
  24. A sharp chain. Normally chains clean themselves, if yrs is caked its because its cutters are dulled. K
  25. Last century i crunched top of a brick gate pillar. Dismantling a Beech. Owner was ' its ok, just let insurance deal with it' ( was gonna get brother inlaw to reset the top n repoint the pillar) went back 3 months later and he had the whole garden wall repointed, the pillar rebuilt totally and a new gate put on ..... ? K
