  1. Protectionism...Unions, Guilds...pricefixing, how do you control who works in what industry and where? OR...a free market. I can't imagine that any-one in this industry is REALLY losing out BIG TIME to an influx of foreign workers. O.K, the odd £30 Sycamore perhaps BUT as for impacting to the point of causing suffering to established indiginous businesses... unlikely. You know, the French moan that the Brits buy up old unwanted properties, do them up and sell them for a profit thus causing the market to rise and therefore impacting on just what young rural French can buy. However...it is the French who choose to sell the old unwanted properties in the begining to 'forgeigners'... Perhaps if the British public really didn't tolerate immigration they'd vote with their conscience and not employ any-one with an accent or busy moustache. Instead, they like to save a few quid and get a better deal. The traitors are amongst you and they ARE YOU! Ty
  2. Perhaps we could have a B.N.P membership vote here...? Ty:001_rolleyes:
  3. British shirk force...hhhhhh I love that one! Ty
  4. As a Foreign National myself I am certainly hoovering up work and making an impact locally. Question is... Is this work that would have gone to others or new work that I have generated...? Answers on a postcard please. What is certain, as an immigrant I must ensure my work ethic is of a high standard as I have a certain amount of chauvanism to overcome and the last thing I need is for any-one to slight me due to my status of 'etranger'. So I work hard for long hours and for competitive prices. So perhaps 'Foreign Nationals' on your doorstep could be a wake up call for any local business who thinks their feet are well under the table. Regards Ty
  5. I've just delivered a load of chips for a guy to use to digest the 'solid matter' in his organic toilet... Ty
  6. HUMBUG! Ty
  7. I confess Skyhuck may have reason but I didn't like his way with words very much... Any more than mine:biggrin: Ty
  8. Your avatar says it all Skyhuck. 'Some one is wrong on the internet'... Having written that...I'm having a dump in at a clients in mine...hhhh! Ty
  9. Forgive me but " making a habit of lying to clients?" I certainly don't make a habit of lying and very much resent that. The non-client cost me a whole 2 hours on a Saturday morning with travel time. His whole approach was that of a market trader, I simply talked to him in a language he could understand. Calling the bluff of a 'client' to me is a harmless act and certainly not deserving of such a vitriolic response from a moderator of all people. The client was lying in his response, that is clear, saving face instead of saying 'Sorry, I can't afford it' Ty
  10. You sound like a holier than thou smart ass on the attack to me... Ty
  11. Your a bit 'acidic' my 'friend'... not a yet a client is he? Ty
  12. That goes for Sycamore too... Ty
  13. Why not just let all invasive species be then...? Including the latest 'Ash Rash'... Just shrug our shoulders and say...Ah well, every living creature has a right to live. Ty
  14. Some-ones out on this latest job or the clients pulling my plum. Customer emails to tell me that ' thanks but no thanks as they have another quote over 1000euros cheaper' I email back and tell them if they scan me a copy of the lower quote then I will lower me price to 10% below it. (of course I have no intention of doing so, I'm just curious who has priced so low) Nothing, not a peep, I did think the customer had no funds and was wasting my time last Saturday. Property rich, cash poor ex-pat who walked around telling me how he could have these trees down in a morning but for his wife insisting on using a properly insured company...hhhh:001_rolleyes: Ty
  15. OOOH! Been taking your 'minerals' then...? Ty
  16. I think that when it rains I am far less efficient and get less done. This may mean we have to return to finish off another day. So if it is looking like a day of heavy rain when a long day of climbing booked I try to move jobs around and find something less taxing. Often I am so fatigued after a day climbing in the rain I am good for nothing for days after. Ty
  17. Chipper blades stuck...broke socket, now shops shut for 2 hours so back home to service wife instead. Ty
  18. I'm off to cool down by changing my chipper blades in the hail... Whats you excuse for not being at work Stumpy? I'm recovering from flu. Ty
  19. Hmmmn greasing, penetration, hot parts and foreign bodies... Just gets me thinking of my Moroccan wife again! When I ment hot...I ment 'warm' sorry. Cheers Ty
  20. I was wondering...if greasing my grinder bearings straight after a grind gets the grease better into the bearings as the parts are still warm? The actual channel in the bearing race is such a tiny hole so a more fluid grease may pass better...? Or do I just need other things to think about like a warm wife and greasing... Ty
  21. These are nice and gay... Walz Cycling Caps I'm ordering a sky blue one and Bretonboy a black and red one so we don't clash when cycling...hhh! Ty
  22. Actually, it brings to mind the quote from the film Snatch. "It's deal, it's a steal, it's sale of the 'effing century, in fact it's so good, I'm going to keep it myself!" Or words to the effect of...hhhh:biggrin: Ty
  23. I may just buy a few and re-brand them 'Bum Bandit'....hhhhh (Because its yellow and bum rather than Dean coming out on facebook and twitter) Ty
  24. TBH...I do miss greys, from a youth I used to trap them in cages then let them loose for my JRT to dispose of in a manner that was as quick and effective as as a .22 and cheaper too. Ah...happy days:001_smile: Ty
  25. I dunno Stumpy, I thought you where better than that... Ty
