  1. Yeah, it was never a dull day at their house! The lads did good though, one a paramedic and the other in the police force, CID. Ive not seen then for probably 30 years, time flys.
  2. A little too late IMO, or its just all a sham or should i say an elaborate ruse. On the plus side at least he saved 2 trillion dollars by firing a lot of people that they then had to rehire and pay hem back pay.
  3. He didnt as I sort of misread it, my bad, big apologise, hang my head in shame etc, etc, But, the NHS does do after care very well which is what SP was referring to, the private sector don't want that as that costs sh1t loads of money. So, quite a lot of people get say the initial cancer treatment privately then are hoofed back to the NHS for the after care. Happened to my mates mum 40 years ago BUPA ****************ed up and the NHS had to fix her up. She was a nutcase btw and stabbed her son/my mate in the leg with a sword hidden in her walking cane which was a bit of a surprise to say the least! She also bought a ninja throwing star and herled (SP) it down the stairs at his twin brother. Council estates, arent they brilliant! How about if you are in full time employment you can opt out of paying NI so you cant whinge about the NHS but you have to pay for every bit of health care whether its through private insurance or out of your back pocket for the rest of your life? Car crash, boating accident, cliff climbing accident on a Sunday in your shorts and flip flops rescued by the NHS you or your insurance foot the bill.
  4. Unfortunately it isnt. When private health care goes wrong the patient can end up in the care of the NHS.
  5. I would be speaking to whoever you bought it from if its new. I dunno how those things work but I guess that there should be some kind of seal that has failed to cause that issue.
  6. Ive seen that before, a guy I used to work for emptied out an old diesel tank, it was like a thick black mould with sludgy water. It all went back into the ground as mother nature intended.
  7. Ha, youre taking one for the team, less taxes to pay your pension mate. Well not less taxes, the same taxes but spent on better things like fixing those expensive parliament doors, new wallpaper for the common room and free peanuts at the MP bar.
  8. The NHS will always be begging for money, it will never operate efficiently otherwise it's budget will be cut. Imo the NHS needs to operate on its own. Every time a new government comes into power it changes the way the NHS operates. It takes years to implement those changes which fooks things up then another party comes in and swaps it all back, more years of changes and more money wasting. The NHS should get a fixed percentage of the GDP or the thing that says how much money we have and it's up to them how they spend it. A percentage of that goes to watchdogs or OFNHS etc to make sure that they aren't just dumping old people into the canals and rivers.
  9. I'll hazard at a guess that if the NHS was abolished/privatised you would see the insurance premium's skyrocket. ATM you don't have to pay for health insurance so they can be competitive, once you have no choice they will just put the prices up, and hike them up to the hilt they will. They are just business just looking to make as much money as possible. I'll pass on privatising the NHS and moving to a US system of health care. In your post about it costing 2k a year for a family of 4 does that cover everything and would they also include things like known chronic illnesses and how long does it cover you for if for example one of you is 70 years old etc? Do they pay the NHS for emergency care? Eg, a car accident, the NHS picks you up gets you to a hospital and saves your life, keeps you in a bed until your stable then what, do they ship you to a private hospital and bill your insurance company for the costs? I've never had private health insurance so I have no clue on here it works. I've had car insurance for a long time and I understand that they can cherry pick their customers and although I have untold years of no claims bonuses my premium goes up each bleeding year. It's never went down when I hit 25 or 30 or 40 and it will probably go up at a faster rate from now on!
  10. I doubt it, the tv cameras where there when they took selfies and waved them off.
  11. It looks like that you are unaware but when someone says something or posts something on the internet its just their opinion unless they specify that they are giving professional advice. Come on its time to drop it, women arent even this stubborn.
  12. Me either. If they op is genuine they I suggest that you get a tree survey carried out. If it isn't a genuine question then at least put some bleeding effort in and try to sublimely sell us something!
  13. Well it looks like the French are pulling their finger out. French police slash inflatable migrant boat heading to UK - BBC News WWW.BBC.CO.UK Watch video of French police destroying a boat in the English Channel in a rare and... I'm surprised that this hasn't already been posted.

  20. All of the above but ATM this more importantly imo "I feel for that families involved- it must be heartbreaking." RIP to the little girl and all my best wishes for a full recovery to the other kids.
  21. Btw, do you not realise how that is totally irrelevant that is? If I asked my neighbour would he be OK to dangle 60 feet up in a tree and take 5 mins to reflect on things, have a smoke break, plan his next move, or just to do fck all for a bit and he said anyone who does that is a bloody fool, would his opinion even matter? Of course it wouldnt and I would be a bit of a prick to think that it did.
  22. Well no, im not being argumentative im being realistic. Ive worked under cars on and off for over 30 years. Yes I wouldnt work on one unless it was stable but once it is I can do whatever I like, although I wouldnt pray, thats for sure. Have you ever worked under a car? Have you ever sat there working out what to do next as the ball joint just will not budge or trying to line up a clutch because the gearbox shaft just wont go in?
  23. Ha, come on. when did I play the racism card? Yeah, the poor fcker probably wont work again due to his life changing injuries.
  24. Looks like you went well off on a tangent there. So, do you remove the oil plug then run off in case the car falls on you, or do you remove the oil plug, and then stand under the car while you remove the oil filter, do some other stuff etc etc. If you cant sit under a vehicle for 5 mins doing feck all for fear that it might fall on you then you shouldn't be working on the vehicle in the first place. Its not rocket science.
  25. Sad news, I saw that earlier.
