  1. Cheers, I'll give you a ring.
  2. How much do you want for a couple of your 200 l drums?
  3. I broke the door on the Nseries, it was £350 ish from Valtra, plant glazing fitted one for about £280 I think. If you just buy the part you need to factor in the putty which is expensive and you'll need a lot for a screen. plus the labour. Plant glazing will come to you and do the whole thing, I have used them before, they are good.
  4. OOps! Try plant glazing, they'll come and fit one for less than valtra want just for the part.. still won't be cheap though..0141 221 1300
  5. Looks like elm to me.
  6. Nice vid John, I keep meaning to do a time lapse, but have never got round to it..
  7. Thats not fair Mark..... John has a massive head start.
  8. Its about 145, its 130 with a steinbauer chip, might even be 150... Its enough, more would be nice but I like the manoeuvrability of a 4cyl tractor. The heizo is like the tortoise and the hare when compared to other chippers, it looks slow but if you look at how much it ate in that 2 min video its quite a lot. Edit: yes it has pressure assist, although I didn't use it in the vid..
  9. Got a vid of the heizo today.... [ame] [/ame]
  10. That's pretty much the same as me. Ambidextrous.
  11. For contract work it's hard to compete if you're using subbies. If you can get a climber for less than 150and he does 2 trees a day then you're ok. The £60 a tree job we did we were doing a lot of trees a day.
  12. Billed rates like that are always hard to price. However it's surprising how they add up. We have done LA contracts in the past which averaged £60 per tree! Some big trees too. It all depends on the quantity. Say for example that there are 10 trees in a row one lane closure covers the lot , five climbers do 2 trees each in the day ..... You're making decent money then.
  13. You can't beat a crane fed chipper John. Matty I don't tend to go on the road like that, we have done occasionally and its actually not bad. reversing in a straight line however is a challenge.
  14. The uniforest is ok, I prefer the tajfun though..
  15. Another site clearance job.
  16. I bought a TP of them a few weeks back, can't fault them.

    Ploggs .

    Ditto that.
  18. Its a BCS valiant 650 with a Tajfun 4.5 ton winch..
  19. I have wondered the same, its a complicated shape to allow for the pedals to be depressed... its not too bad as all the linkages are really strong, I have broken the handbrake switch though..
  20. I agree, plus you'r putting some weird stresses on the 3PL. Either weld a suitable attachment to the winch itself or use an adjacent object...
  21. Not by much.. but you definitely need it, you'll take out the sump for sure without it.

    Oak dismantle

Nice job Matty, how deep was that gulley? is that a chog in the bottom?
  23. I hope you weren't sitting in the back of the chipper when you typed that Mark.
  24. I don't believe thats the case, certainly on my crane if you lift a heavy load close in and then boom out the relief valve will allow the main boom ram to lower as the pressure rises.. Maybe some systems are piped differently......
  25. I have one the same if anyone wants to make an offer...
