  1. There's a better looking one called a chomped I think.
  2. Chip pile is growing. About 2 days worth of chipping. Could have done double that amount if we didn't have to chip into the trailer.
  3. You can always give it a bit of help with the crane.
  4. they will chip brash without blocking no problem, the issue is how well they will pill it through, in the clop of mine above I didn't need the pressure assist..heres a brief clip of some conifer going through [ame] [/ame]
  5. has it got pressure assist? It will still work without it, but its better with. you won't do it any harm.. This is mine .[ame] [/ame]
  6. I have the red Pfanners, they are pretty indestructible, and warm too, but they are a bit clumpy for climbing in.
  7. Ha no Thats gone, loving the skoda superb 4x4 now. £50 a fill and nearly 600 miles on a tank
  8. Big tree John! just shows how deceptive photo's can be.
  9. Cheers, I'll give you a ring.
  10. How much do you want for a couple of your 200 l drums?
  11. I broke the door on the Nseries, it was £350 ish from Valtra, plant glazing fitted one for about £280 I think. If you just buy the part you need to factor in the putty which is expensive and you'll need a lot for a screen. plus the labour. Plant glazing will come to you and do the whole thing, I have used them before, they are good.
  12. OOps! Try plant glazing, they'll come and fit one for less than valtra want just for the part.. still won't be cheap though..0141 221 1300
  13. Nice vid John, I keep meaning to do a time lapse, but have never got round to it..
  14. Thats not fair Mark..... John has a massive head start.
  15. Its about 145, its 130 with a steinbauer chip, might even be 150... Its enough, more would be nice but I like the manoeuvrability of a 4cyl tractor. The heizo is like the tortoise and the hare when compared to other chippers, it looks slow but if you look at how much it ate in that 2 min video its quite a lot. Edit: yes it has pressure assist, although I didn't use it in the vid..
  16. Got a vid of the heizo today.... [ame] [/ame]
  17. That's pretty much the same as me. Ambidextrous.
  18. For contract work it's hard to compete if you're using subbies. If you can get a climber for less than 150and he does 2 trees a day then you're ok. The £60 a tree job we did we were doing a lot of trees a day.
  19. Billed rates like that are always hard to price. However it's surprising how they add up. We have done LA contracts in the past which averaged £60 per tree! Some big trees too. It all depends on the quantity. Say for example that there are 10 trees in a row one lane closure covers the lot , five climbers do 2 trees each in the day ..... You're making decent money then.
  20. You can't beat a crane fed chipper John. Matty I don't tend to go on the road like that, we have done occasionally and its actually not bad. reversing in a straight line however is a challenge.
  21. The uniforest is ok, I prefer the tajfun though..
  22. I bought a TP of them a few weeks back, can't fault them.
