  1. Also mate if you go on the husqvarna website there is a section there where you can type in a saw model of any age and it will give a parts list etc...try that
  2. 50:1 for sinthetic oil (the expensive husky/stihl stuff) or 25:1 for the crappy two stroke oil....i always use sinthetic at 50:1 myself...not blown up a saw yet...although wish the 660 would!!
  3. yeah, i think gob was fine, should have dog toothed it, and also was felled too high and the downward back-cut is bad practice.....no wonder they lost the war:sneaky2:
  4. i have a parts book for my old CD 2100 husky, she was a 1983 model i think
  5. yeah, im on holiday too:sad:
  6. :confused1:would only take an hour i would say £150.....they are not as tall as they seem if that little ladder is 16ft then they are only 25ft.... its a piece of cake...if i priced that at more than £200 round here i would be laughed at
  7. i use a dremel or flat file, but remember the blades are actually hollow ground, so beter for a profesional sharpen.....it also helps to tighten the blades (especially near the tip) as that will help them to cut better
  8. sad to say i own an ms066, been very disappointed with it, i agree with steve where he says there isnt really a "better" saw, i think that peoples past experiences etc give the main judgement, i have used a 395xp and a CD2100 husky that never missed a beat and i guess thats why im a husky man...the 200t is the only climbing saw though - stihl certainly have that right - just wish that companies (and i dont just mean chainsaws) would build things to last!!
  9. i took one of those down in 2005, was planted in 1993 and in that short time was huge!!! The rings were an inch apart at least!! had some lovely fires from it too:001_tt1:
  10. Whats the story - morning glory!!!
  11. Hey steve, try Rapid Platforms in Spellbrook (near Bishops Stortford) they have all types of MEWP 01279 501 501
  12. yeah, i have done it before topping out too, but not normally, just keep the spikes sharp and at correct angle
  13. my mrs is an Essex girl too......
  14. he saves the washing machine for the crane cables:001_smile:
  15. slow and steady wins the race:thumbup1:
  16. All of the West Coast fallers are big girls anyway!!
  17. HAHA like the specsavers advert:sneaky2:
  18. B*stards!!!! will be funny if you get a photo of a punctured abandoned van tomorrow though!!
  19. Ok...Sorry everyone, didnt want to come across as rude etc, just I love a good fell, my eyes light up when its on the cards, and the tighter the gap the more fun it is and the better the feeling when you see in down in exactly the right place - does anything beat that feeling????
  20. well it is really, why would anyone chog down if there's room for the fell and no bowling green lawn to protect..... This has always puzzled me
  21. what a pointless thread
  22. normally a warning before i start the cut, and once the saw is going they know not to go under, i do shout "heads up" though.....my good mate who is a contract climber shouts "yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh" while making each cut at the top of his voice.....gets a few odd looks from his customers haha
  23. I think it looks good, but not sure if it is right as the page header, and looks odd being 3D, no offence guys, also thought it was cool with JP Beaver's pic on the old one
  24. HAHA that made me LOL:001_tongue:
  25. i was taught spear cuts at college....not on anything too big though:scared1:
