    i met him in a local pub to me when he was working on a museum chimney herer in cambridge, i saw a letter that he wrote on completing the work there his hand writing so neat

  11. the way i explained will work if you are using concrete posts and cant rails for closeboard (feather edge fencing)
  12. fit a post approx 1 metre either side of the tree then when you fit the rails make them over hang to the tree. then when you fix the feather edge boards scribe the last board into the tree for a good fit

  14. smaal hiabs seem to make more than you would expect i have a small hiab on my mog it was electric now i have it direct onto the mog hydraulics, it lfts 2 ton close in and about 750kg at 3.5m. heres a pic of mine with a full size steam engine wheel bit of a dark pic
  15. Sounds like my Nissan dealer couldn't get an alternator for 3 week. Yet the motor factor guy managed to get one by 10 the following morning

  18. double handled sounds like a saw a mate has got with a villiers engine
  19. agree if its a wabco unit most commercial vehicle parts people should be able to get a new unit by quoting the number on the id plate have you not tried MUDIE BOND they are nearer to you than the other dealers (thats prob where A vos will be getting there parts from ) when i ordered some parts from vos they came from M bond direct to me
  20. maybe compressor cylinder head is carbon ed up if so you can get a repair kit or trailer brake connector may not be sealing properly or the pressur relif valve needs cleaning out
  21. not all the old spares are cheap some times better to just get new and know that they will last
