never done a tractor one we changed a half shaft in a quarry when we was at an off road event took about couple of hours it would be an easier job if you could get the tractor and a hard standing -

look s like the oil seal leaking possibly had some long grass or nettles wound round and damaged the seal wil prob need the half shaft removing to fit a new one while your doing one side i would fix the other just to make sure -
