A baffle plate is a plate usually made of metal that sits inside the stove over the firebox. This plate blocks off the direct exit to the chimney which means that the hot flue gases have to travel further before they get out of the stove. This means that there is more time for the flue gases to be mixed with air and fully combust in the firebox and that more heat can be transferred from the firebox to the stove and/or water in the boiler. So a flue baffle makes the stove more efficient and can increase it's heat output. my baffle plate was made of vermiculite board when that cracked and broke I made 1 out of metal plate

rob..... it seems Oregon 5.5mm files are fatter than pferd 5.5mm files........both are the same length........you would have thought both would have fitted the pferd CS X. I have the csx.....tried an Oregon in it but the holes are too small, not by much, I suppose easy enough to fix if u prefer Oregon.

as chris says.......put it over the weighbridge and added 10% to get the volume...or better still sell it by the weigh ticket saves any arguments.........only downside to weighbridge is if ur timbers been sat on the ground a long while

well I phoned orange plant for help when I couldn't get roller off and it worked a treat just take the bolts out and use the button to make the rollers go back and forward, spine will come out easily
