  1. Hardwood bulk bags in Central belt scotland are going for £50 seems like a loss to me
  2. had 10 clipped together standing on top of a transit connect roof rack on a 11kv 1 day trying to nick top branch on an oak but thats another story
  3. i hav a set of jamesons pole, converted the end to take a silky blade, if u hav pick up or similiar ...u better with 3 short lengths as the long 1 wont fit in the back. jamesons are good and robust
  4. the trees we did fell had 80-90% decay and were shedding branches onto main road, as the major species is chestnut along the road with several more showing rapid signs of die back, if what trees to replace them. there is some regen but its mainly chestnut and elms.

    nuggsy ask ur boss dougie how he cut his lip, that may help u to respect the chainsaw
  13. feed roller would reserve not forward with mine........it was the relays. make sure the relays are a tight fit

  16. if the second tree has slight lean, the cab of mower could have hit if u get my drift
  17. just a guess that 1 looks if the grass mower has been hitting it,causing some decay. u see a lot on golf courses, ride on mowers hittin the young trees, or it could be Alien 4 come alive
  18. elm is another poor burner unless u get it dried out well, needs at least 2yrs, but if u can get sum dead elm standing, the branchwood is 1 of the best
  19. pretty slow burning not a good heat off it, but u dry it out well it will do

  21. watched it this morning, having worked n forestry n the UK for last 20 years, they look years behind us machinery wise, they were skylining ground that can be easily done by the modern harvester and forwarder.
