  19. John is correct.......these bags are sold with 1 tonne of sand in them.....1 cubic metre of sand weighs in at 1.7 tonnes therefore the bags hold 0.68 cubic metres. if u fill them with ash allowing for air spaces 0.5 cubic metres of wood which is about 300kg
  20. seasoned dried ash is 1 cube = 670kg...if u say u have 1800kg on then u have 2.68 cubic metres of ash on ur transit......no where near 6 cubes.........i suggest u go and weigh it and come back and eat humble pie lol

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
