Scottish Native Woods did this small video for postcode lottery in Balmerino, Fife a few weeks ago, its only meant a small insight for public to see where their money is getting spent. the wood is on the shoreline of the tay estruary, a few miles from Dundee on the opposite of the water. The paths are all getting relaid and the wood getting thinned out. The wood is getting cut to 3m lengths and forwardered out by the Alstor for firewood processing. Stan the man felled the tree, his second job was to cut the stump down a tad lower lol

a lot of timber mills in UK take no excessive butt swell, only difference is .. it is cut off in the wood by the harvester and left on forest floor...

looks like the field has been resown in barley, my moneys on tractorman threw the dead badger into the wood out of the way and it got stuck up in tree when harrowing the field........how it died is a job for Mrs Marple
