easy fells? hairy outsiders? cross cut and stack chipwood FC were paying £5 clean ones £7.50 hairy ones. work out how many u can do in a hour..... 3x8x£5= £120

but can u really see that being practical or very accurate, ....maybe ur post leads from buying green wood in and not getting enough volume for tonage. as for hand written tickets ask for ur timber to be run over a computerised system. its in the lorry driver interest to be as near maxinum weight as possible

how would that work.........imagine an FC site with 20000 tons at roadside...r u goin to measure all the logs seperately to get their volume and u cant trust harvesters computer measurement systems ...to easy to fiddle if u wanted to.

u made some mistake there mate......... green pine oak and beech are much the same around 1 cubic metre to 1 tonne green stika 1 cubic metre is around ..........0.97 tonne

swb. there was or still is a mill over Alexandria way that took european larch for veneer, haulage kills half loads......would make good firewood/kindlers

of course u will need a felling license if u fellin over 5 tons or maybe not......LOL

sawmill near me likes larch logs,,,haulage about 300......25 tons @12 mininum......green logs sell well.......red logs u cant give them away.

u are going to confuse your potential customers with all these different measurements, cant we try and keep it metric.
