  1. Maybe you should talk to a lawyer. If someone asks you to do some work for them knowing that they are about to be declared bankrupt - and you or your lawyer can prove this - then the court can seize their personal possessions to pay off any debts - even if they are a company director. Limited liability status is worth nothing if you have decieved or been dishonest.
  2. I just can't see the government making any real effort to find an alternative to petrol/diesel until they really have to.
  3. At the moment they use the whole environment thing to justify the tax - how would they be able to justify taxing water at such a rate?
  4. All I know is that my old Cabstar was a single wheel version and as soon as you drove into a field with any weight on board the back wheels would just sink. I think that having dual rear wheels would certainly help in this situation.
  5. Do you reckon? Imagine the revenue the government would lose from tax on fossil fuels.
  6. When I do work for other companies I always add a 10% credit charge which is deductable if the invoice is settled within 7 days - works a treat and is legally enforceable if they are late paying.
  7. They sound like a great bunch of blokes, wish they were my mates:scared:
  8. No, I should have an operators licence, but a good friend of mine at the ministry kindly plated it as a 3.5t:icon14:
  9. Don't think playing these pranks are really going to achieve anything. You would look a right dick if you got caught letting someones tyres down, not to mention the likelyhood of getting a kick in the teeth. Better off putting your energy else where and concentrate on getting your money.
  10. I've got the 4.5 ton version, year 2003, 2.8td. Definitely a good step up from a tranny or ldv. Handles a full load of chip very well - even when towing a large chipper:icon14:
  11. that's just a bit sad, there's more to life than work. thick white cream all over your head - that's a good look, lol:hahaha:
  12. i've used one of those a couple of times for trimming high hedges, they're way better than a tranny or ldv mewp.
  13. yeah, i suppose it depends what you're using it for:icon14:
  14. I did read the whole post, it doesn't alter your opening sentence. I don't think sending the boys round is ever a good idea, if you go down that road you're gonna have to spend the rest of your life watching your back.
  15. Something with a tipper and a bit more capacity - or failing that, a Toyota Hilux 4x4 2.4 diesel.
  16. problem is your boys might end up getting a whipping from his boys! depends on who you're dealing with if you're thinking of going down that route.
  17. i think most would give up reading that after the first couple of lines.
  18. What small trucks do you prefer ed?
  19. You must look a picture on the beach - flip-flops, a pair of speedos and a chainsaw helmet! Still, I bet you don't get too many people sitting next to you:wave:
