  1. If we are talking white smoke and not steam Steam like disappears dudes Try it people, especially on a turbo, leave it ticking over for an hour then drive off and accelerate away hard I
  2. Read the application it says in black and white trees to fell It's what's left that's an eyesore not what's gone
  3. Depending on the inlet pipe layout, diesels if left ticking over for extended periods of time will leave a smoke screen when you accelerate away, it used to do it on my brand new iveco and also my landcruisers As long as it doesn't do it on short periods and clears within a short time nothing to worry about
  4. I only do 3 to 4k miles per year so my costs are probably double that Mark
  5. Not living in York might have something to do with Us discussing it, not noticing the application notification signs one would have thought The tree were already ruined, they should have come down and start again. They should never have been topped in the first place
  6. It says it all in paragraph two of the report summary In other words, someone carried out bogey workmanship in the past and topped and ruined them and tried to pass it off as a pollard Just goes to prove topping ruins trees
  7. Should they need to, thats the tree officers job isn't it! To specify what can and can't be done
  8. I think your missing the point, this avenue of trees line an historic and heavily used area of an historic town, if you have been into York you will have seen this avenue of trees, Now they look crap and will always look crap They have been topped not pollarded and it,s a crap job that's been done Pollards are also high maintainance, so budget doesn't come into it either In France you see some spectacular pollards, they would look great, but these are never going to be that
  9. husqy or stihl normally kills a thread, give it a go
  10. I,ve resigned from the wet rope club as of today. I,d rather sit in front the log burner and sweat
  11. I,v had as many problems with oem parts as I have with britpart. I,d rather replace a part every now and again at £9.50 than replace a part every now and again at £39.50
  12. They are the poly bushes, but I bought black, didn't like the bright yellow ones
  13. No Drew, it was the traffic lights in the town centre
  14. Put landy in for mot this week, she failed on headlights to low (because I,ve had an aluminium back fitted so the back sits up higher) one brake pipe and one ball joint. Done them and got it passed but there were a couple of bushes with a bit of play that went on the advises list so decided to treat the old girl and replace every bush there is. She,s works hard for a living so deserves a treat, this is what I have bought to fit even though she has a brand new mot
  15. I think even the anti mewp brigade may be swayed
  16. I will bring the 200 next time I go out on the razz on Cheltenham then. Last time, we free climbed every tree on Pittville lawn and nearly got arrested
  17. Haha with the last two weeks I,ve had no choice but to rejoin
  18. Thought I'd take the factor 30 with me today, just in case
  19. I think if you sell them on the open market it will mostly women buying them.... They seem to buy garden ornaments
  20. Spent a bit of time putting that post together
